Ok, super bo liao photo but i just felt like changing it. Too lazy to bother right now. Haha...

Thursday, July 28, 2005

Yes, it is the time to spring clean my............. computer. Yes, my computer, not my room. Haha... have finally transferred my 5GB worth of photos into poddy and mustered the guts to click the delete button... It's just not that re-assuring that you will be bringing around all these photos and maybe it gets deleted accidently? Dunno, but i figured that i had to do that to make my computer run faster.

First of all, i have to say that i am turning into quite a loser myself. Better not talk so much about Rujin being the Backfire King because i am turning into one BIG TIME. The plan was to meet the 2 Bunnies at the Queen Bunny's house to watch the Beyonce DVD (before i decide to return it and also because Bunny was too tired to go out) and decided to meet Chinki at Paya Lebar MRT because she was not sure of how to get to Bunny's house. Apparently both of us needed to use the toilet (although i could have used the one at office and she could have gone before coming out of the house) but we refused to use the makeshift container like public toilet at the MRT station and decided to run to the one at the Big Post office like building.

For some reason, Chinki couldnt stop yakking and i had to ask her to keep quiet a few times. Her reason was because she did not speak to anyone for the whole day and i was the first person she was speaking to. Ok...... anyway we decided to take a cab to Bunny's house but the 2 roads outside the MRT station looked super congested and scary! So i decided to walk towards Lion City Hotel but no cabs. Ended up at the bus stop and saw the Bus 70 coming so Chinki asked if they went to Serangoon Gardens.

Y e s, the uncle said. So we happily climbed up and sat all the way at the back of the top deck. Bunny called halfway and exclaimed that the bus 70 does not go to S. Gardens! So we got off the bus...... and ended up at the adjoining road next to my office.

.................

By then, both of us got super motion-sick and jumped into the next available cab that we saw. And got even more motion-sick. I didnt want to talk much because i felt like i was going to throw up all over the cab and Chinki kept talking because she said she will puke if she doesnt talk! Man, what a combination. When we finally got to the hawker centre, i felt so sick that i lost my appetite!

Was telling the 2 Bunnies that my boss left her car for my collegue to use to go to site while she is away! I didnt believe Miss Hungry at first when she told me she could drive our Lao Ban's car to the bank to drop her cheque. I was like, Har??? Lao Ban left her car here? Sure or not???

I only believed her when i sat in the car and was on the way to Toa Payoh for lunch. Wah! First time man!!!

Mr Easy was looking very La Wah sitting at the back of the car wearing this pink... yes, pink tinted prescription glasses and i thought it was sunglasses at first! And realised that he was still wearing it when he was back in the office and using the computer. So i told him that he didn't need to look so cool in front of me. It was only then i realised that it was prescription glasses! Apparently it was his 3rd or 4th pair of glasses because he kept leaving it on his bed and stepping on them. Dun ask me why he does that. I was highly amused that a guy would wear pink tinted prescription glasses and his theory was that he felt pink colour matches his skin tone very well.

......................

I think he was joking lar.

Also noticed that his giant water bottle looked really huge and out of place! I call it the "Fire Extinguisher" water bottle.

Anyway, back to us Bunnies watching Beyonce. Bunny couldnt figure out how to switch on her JVC speakers and despite us 3 trying to switch it on for a really long time, her younger brainy brother came down and just switched on the main switch! Wah, super bimbo man. Haha.. The 2 Bunnies were super excited to see the ugly dancer that i mentioned and kept asking me to show them which was the ugly but great dancer! Kept pointing out the wrong one to them for the whole dvd then when she came out at the ending, i excitedly pointed her out to them! We then realised that 70% of the back up dancers were quite ugly. Cannot out-diva the beautiful and talented Beyonce mah... kekekkee.

Bunny then commented that only Beyonce can do the Gorilla dance and look so good. (the one for Baby Boy's number, i think!) Actually also look like some chicken dance, the one where she turns her head back slightly and "fans" herself with her hands while shaking her bon bon.... but only she can look cool and posh doing such a dance lor! Wonder if the MTV dance class will be doing a Beyonce any time. Then i will go down and see Bunny in action. She was too shy to show me the Britney's dance. Aiyoh.

For some reason, the Crazy in Love song is stuck in my head!! Uh oh uh oh uh oh oh oh oh oh......

I have decided to transfer all my picture files from my computer to my poddy !! They are taking up waaaaaayy too much space and i have used up like.... less than 10% of the space in poddy?? So off the pictures go! All 5GB worth! But takes like.... 160mins to transfer it all, so can only do so before i sleep and finish this blog entry.

Caught up with Chinki last night for a movie!! Seems like a really long time since i caught a movie (dvds not counted!) in a theatre and I was really itching to catch one last night. So we both decided on Sin City which everyone seem to be raving about. The last movie i caught was Madagascar! Which was like.... the last time i went Woodlands to catch it with Ah Zai! Dun even remember how long ago was that! Anyway, met up with Chinki at TCC after my dinner at home and we bitched as much we could remember to each other in 30mins there where i bought an Iced YuanYang drink, which was a mix of tea and coffee. Kinda nice! I liked it! Chinki on the other hand ordered some Mango Freeze drink which was super cold and hard! I thought I could feel my head freeze up the moment i took a sip.

We inititally sat at this 2 seater place but it felt very stuffy there and decided to sit under the aircon diffuser where there were 2 no.s of 2 seater sofas at the corner. After we moved there, we realised it was quite cold. But better cold than stuffy right. However, the stupid radio was blasting behind me (stupid speakers!) and in the end, Chinki moved to the same sofa as me and we bitched!!! and bitch and bitched!! We were bitching about the ugly LV monogram and how we both hate the cherry design one especially! I mean, you want to pay for brands, at least buy some thing of some class and posh beautiful design lar. Or something of some beautiful rare material. I dunno, just my 2 cents worth. I do admire some branded items but usually the stupid logo is not imprinted on every inch of the fabric. But anyway, like i will pay for it. Will just stick to my GG5.

Sin City
Loved the movie styling and i kept wondering how they did the special effects most of the time so i kept drifting off and felt lost after a while because i wasn't following the story! Reminds me of those times when i used to read my cousins' precious comics. Anyway, as usual, my crazy movie kahki, Chinki and I kept laughing at the most inappropriate times (that is usually when no one is laughing) because it was either super corny or something stupid tickled my funny bone. Something like that time i watched "Before Sunset" with Miss What and some other friends (cant remember who le!) and we kept laughing at anything that sounded.... "dirty"! Actually, i think it's just me. Laugh so much, that's why can pull my neck/shoulder/back muscle. What. I'm a happy girl ok.

Jessica Alba was so pretty! I kept mumbling during and after the movie to Chinki that "It's so wrong, it's so wrong." when she kept telling that never-say-die-fella that she loves him and kept trying to seduce him. Like, excuse me, she was supposed to be 19 years old in the movie and that never-say-die-fella was old enough to be her grand daddy. Jesus.

CSI 2 hour Finale episode
Didn't even realise that it was the finale episode and i was wondering why it was 2 hours long! Really really cool episode which kept me squashing my blue heart shaped pillow to my face 98% of the time, while the other 2% i was sharing potato chips with my brother. I thought Nick was going to die!!! So can't wait for the box set to be out so i can buy and keep! Woohoo!!

Off to meet the 2 other bunnies tomorrow for dinner! Wonder if Chinki wants to catch Beyonce's dvd before i return it! Looking desperately for someone with a dvd burner so i can burn the dvd! Wahahahha. So evil.

StreetArts and Guinea Pig

Picked up Miffy in the morning to bring her poor guinea pig to the vet because of her poor balding condition... Her hair would come off the moment you stroke her... so i guess it was quite bad la. Waited for a rather long time at the clinic as usual and Dr Ly asked if it was stressed recently by any new pets in the house. Looks like Pen Pen did a great job of terrorising the poor guinea pig because her balding condition is highly induced by Pen Pen's terrorising ways! I mentioned to Dr Ly that naughty Pen Pen would stick her paw in to whack her head so many times. God knows what else she did when nobody was home... :P

So he started the observation by switching off the lights and scanned her under UV light!! wah! So CSI hor... so it turned out that she had dandruff! I could see the white specks very clearly under the light! Then he proceeded to scrape the bald patch with a really sharp looking razor while the poor dear was squeaking! He scraped 3 times and poor Miffy was so terrified for her... Both of us were holding each other arms and squirming at the sight of him scraping her skin... the poor dear pee-ed n poo-ed so many times on the laminate counter... aiyoh.

Dr Ly then proceeded to take this small packet of vegetarian formula for dogs and was telling us to feed the guinea pig with it... and while he was waving around the SEALED packet of dog food, the guinea pig started moving forward towards the food and sniffing at it! The vet was so impressed with her sense of smell and tried to feed her with it. but the poor thing was shy so she only licked it.

Miffy's damage from the vet came up to a wonderful $188.... And she had to get something called Jenson Violet oil or something from a Chinese medicine shop to "paint" the guinea pig's nails (which were rotting actually because of the moist bedding) When i recited all the vet's instructions to Miffy's mum, she was so amused that the guinea pig will be getting spa and pedicure treatments EVERYDAY. good life hor. Miffy commented that she wanted to be a guinea pig in her next life.

Procceded down to Newton to see part of the Longan gang with their StreetArts entry. Their group consisted of Gaz, Sarcastic Guy, Ah Zai and TCL (aka Jun Liang). Their entry was really cool! It consisted of 300 latex gloves which they all blew up by themselves! I was super amazed by their "skills" and Miffy and i commented on why they didn't use condoms instead. Miffy's explanation was that passer-bys will pluck it off. True la true lar.

So we just shot some photos then it was time to tear down their masterpiece!!! Oh no!! It was heartbreaking to see them tear it down after 3 hours of putting it up and also the fact that they didnt sleep the night before preparing for it! In less than half and hour, it was gone and ready to be picked up by the trash people. Ah Zai brought down his small cabin crew like luggage and threw all their materials and stuff inside. When he went to Mr Sarcastic Guy's house, his father thought that he was running away from home!

And for some reason, TCL could not find his scissors, so i offered to find it for him by rummaging through this dirty looking paper bag and i found 2 scissors which looked really alike (Black plastic handle) but he said it wasn't his although it looked like his! In the end, Gaz found it somewhere (in his bag i think) and TCL looked really happy to get it back! He was commenting that the plastic was of different feel..... But when i held it, it felt like the other 2 scissors which i dug out from the dirty paper bag! But he insisted that it was of different quality. Ok lar, maybe because it had the "Made in Japan" words printed on it.

Went to Newton for a drink where the drink store uncle was pissed at us when he thought we ordered 2 orange juice when actually Miffy ordered an orange carrot juice. While there, Ah Zai was telling TCL about the woman who called me and said that his TCL name was an English name, TCL suddenly grabbed his already empty Kickapo can and crushed it with his right hand and growled, "WAaaaaahh!! Some people are just so stupid!!" Miffy and i were so shocked by his outburst that both of us leaned back and grabbed each other arms, screaming "WOOOaaahhh!!" Wah, good le. Now i got potential Ah Long business partner.

After the drinks, Miffy headed down to the Ikea sale while the rest of us went on a road trip. No lar. I dropped TCL at Bugis MRT (actually was supposed to be City Hall MRT but got NDP practice so City Hall area was blocked and i had to divert to Bugis Area) and sent Ah Zai and Mr Sarcastic to his house at Simei, while Gaz went home from there. Thought my petrol could last to Simei but i think because of my diversion from City Hall to Bugis, my empty tank logo was flashing at me at Little india area! So we tried to look for a Shell station nearby but we could not find one! So i ended up driving to the Shell station near my office at MacPherson! No choice lar, only one we could find.

Went to Mr Sarcastic's house to bum while the other 2 were sorting out their stuff in Ah Zai's cabin crew luggage. Mr Sarcastic's erm..... "good friend" bought some pressies for us from Taiwan! So sweet.. One of them was a cat pencil and a postcard, where it was a mini DIY 3D paper sculpture of some Taiwanese building! Must remember to build it when i have time. For some reason, i got reminded of our Hanging Gardens of Babylon 3D model that Bunny and I did for our Social Studies project in school. Which looked like a Huge Birthday cake.

Before Ah Zai and I were about to leave his house, Mr Sarcastic's mum got us to sample a lot of the kuehs and cakes that they bought in JB that same morning! The entire 900mm diameter table in the kitchen was filled with kuehs and cakes.... so cool. like Hari Raya all over again. There was this huge flattened looking cake which i did not see before and even after his mum explained it to me, i still didnt know what it was! Tried to get Mr Sarcastic to peel a bit to eat so i could see the inside, but he didn't do it. His mum looked really young too! I was so impressed... I just noticed that most of my friends' mums actually look younger than they really are..... wow...

Picked up my brother who just finished his NCO camp in school and Ah Zai and I caught Beyonce Live in Wembley on dvd... She really has great showmanship and lots and lots of bling bling outfits! And she looked really really skinny in that concert! Definately at her skinnest! And her abs were sooooo power!! I couldnt stop commenting how skinny she was, but i didnt really like her with bangs. Ah Zai said must be because she looked like Name Amuro .(dunno how to spell lar!) For some reason, i was really tired and i could not stop yawning while poor Ah Zai who did not sleep the night before looked quite stoned! I really didn't understand why i was so tired so i slept at about ten plus that night! Wah, so damn early man...

My brother has decided to name me "Broken Neck" after i told him how i sprained it. Quite cool hor. like some Ah Long's name.. Not bad. I shall keep it in mind....

Super Loser Day

Decided to go to the sinseh after work and gym today because my neck ache was not getting any better and it hurts real bad in the air conditioned office.

Here is the list of the backfire/loser events that happened today :

1. After switching on the air con in the spare room in the office (I hide there because it is very stuffy outside) I placed the remote control back on the holder but it dropped onto the floor. When I picked it up, the on/off button was coming out and part of the remote was falling apart, so in my panic, I tried to shove the panel back in place. Maybe I used too much strength or something and the on/off button got stuck. So clever. Luckily before I left the office, Lady said that the remote for the central air con outside works with this. So heng ah.

2. Met Bunny for gymming today at Capitol Tower. Decided to try out CBIs Combat class at a different outlet (His Monday classes are super jammed packed.) and both of us ended up running to the gym from the train station which was a super unglam sight. When we reached the counter, it turned out that the class was not that full. So still got time to change.

3. Because we decided that there is still enough time, we slowly changed and wore our shoes. Bunny ended up at the far corner of the class behind a pillar where she could hardly see CBI and this girl was between the 2 of us. I had the glass panels behind me. Very dangerous because I am so accident prone. What if I kick the glass panel accidently how? Die lor.

4. Wanted to use the steam bath but when we sat in there for some time, the steam did not come out so we left. While I was in the toilet and Bunny was waiting outside for the showers, she commented that she heard the steam starting after we came out.

5. Decided to take a cab to the Sinseh near Great World City and while I was trying to flag this Mercs cab from the filter lane diagonally across, I did not see this other girl stand behind us and she was flagging for it too. But the cab stopped in front of the girl and Bunny offered her to take it first because she thought that I missed it and I did not flag it down!

6. The cab fare in the end came up to exactly $4 and I took out $10 to pay the driver and before I came out of the cab I told Bunny to take my change for me. But she hurriedly stumbled out after me and nearly closed the door without taking my change while I kept telling her, "Take the change. Take it. Take it." And she kept thinking that I was reminding her to take her ibook which she already was holding in her hands! And she thought I gave the driver exact change because she thought my $10 note was a $2 bill!

7. And in the midst of struggling out of the cab, I kept telling Bunny to take the money, she accidently molested me.

8. Went to the sinseh and he was so darn sarcastic! But he is like that because he seems permanently moody. Bunny was super amused by how he was going to rub my neck and the moment I got in, he told me curtly to tie my hair up in a bun and after I crossed my legs, he barked at me to sit straight without crossing. Then he said sarcastic-ly, "Come for Tui Da, wear white colour blouse." I thought I could hear him saying So clever under his breath but I think it was just my imagination. After massaging my neck with extremely swift movements (it was so hot!) he went on to tell me to turn my head from left to right (with his hands guiding me) then suddenly it got faster and faster and i heard a crack! I was so horrified that he was going to break my neck but before i had any more time to be afraid of that, he did it again for the other side! And it was done in less than 5 mins! Wow. But i feel tons better now except that it is still stiff and the pain is more or less gone.

9. Went to Zion Road Food Centre with Bunny and i ordered 2 bowls of iced cheng teng but it looked like some liao at the bottom with this huge pile of ice on top! look like ice kachang without the syrup only. So Bunny took the 2 huge bowls of ice to the grumpy auntie and uncle who said that it was correct. So weird.

10. Bunny decided to take a cab home from there because the ride home would be fairly cheap because of the direct road to the expressway. There was a major jam on the expressway because of an accident and the fare turned out to be really ex. So poor thing.

11. My dear mum thought she lost her brand new Samsung hp and sounded really upset when i came home. She concluded that she must have dropped it in OG earlier or was robbed of it. But she remembered clearly that she saw it on her bed but she could not find it when she kept calling. Just 5 mins ago, she found it under a pile of newspapers on her bed.

So that is my entry on the super loser day of Farker D. stay tuned for more................... wahahahhaa!

I am afraid to take the first step forward.
If i do,

Will you hold my hand?

Thursday, July 21, 2005

i honestly think im have sprained a certain part of the right side of my neck/shoulder/back. i dont even know what muscle i have sprained when i laughed in a bombastic manner that day. i feel like wearing a neck brace to prevent myself from turning too much to the left and feeling the strain on my neck. Went for a foot reflex and shoulder massage today.... it did help for a while but the pain came back again! Really think i have to go to some sinseh or something. I didnt know that laughing could cause this! Jesus!

My company is in need of another contractor firm to tender for a commercial project so the first people i thought of were Mr Wee and LKY. My collegue Lady asked what was the name of their company. So i replied MetaPhysics. But dunno how she hear, she said, "Harr??? MENTALPhysics?????

Oh my god. I just died laughing at the coffeeshop.... Then we started talking about gingko nuts because i told Miss Hungry the other time that it supposedly improves your memory. Since she was complaining that she doesnt have a very good memory. Something like 128mb only she claims. And i joked with Lady that maybe we should make gingko nut juice to drink every morning, and she kept asking me how to squeeze the juice out of gingko nuts.... so she proceeded to ask Mr Easy if it was possible.

"HAr? What is a gingko nut??"

Once again i peng san-ed on my chair.

I think my collegues have now resorted to calling each other by our Chinese names. Except that Miss Hungry doesnt have a Chinese name! She just has her English name and surname! And now they keep teasing me because there is apparently some hit song with my Chinese name in it... like.. 3 years back i think. Obviously i have no clue to this because i hardly listen to Mandarin songs in the first place. Must find the CD or something....

Darn. Now my left shoulder aches so bad. I think there is really something wrong with me....

Tuesday 19th July 2005

The F.A.R.K.E.R gang outing.

I am now part of the above F.A.R.K.E.R gang due to the fact that Miss What, Ah Zai and I were discussing at Lau Pa Sat the other night. Miss What was saying that we will call our future design firm F.A.R.K.E.R and i decided to name it FARKER and associates. Here are our new names in FARKER and associates :

Ah Zai - Beautiful Farker, or Mocha Farker
Miss What - Lovely Farker J, or simply Farker J
Me - Gorgeous Farker, or simply Farker D

This new firm's name sounds so much like that time i said i wanted to set up a fashion line and market it in Italy. and name it B.O.D.O. But anyway, us 3 Farkers' initial plan was to watch Batman Begins but after checking out the movie timings, and realising that the latest show for Batman was only at 4.10pm, we decided to bum at Miss What's house and watch a Norwegian comedy on dvd.

Met up at AMK and i ended up late because my boss told me to settle some toilet business. Or rather, re-select the toilet bowl design for the client and i ended up choosing a $1,000 plus model. Almost half my pay check ok. Wahhaahahaa. We farkers ate at S11 coffeeshop and while telling Miss What animatedly about my dumb phonecall i received the day before, i laughed too hard and i ended up straining the right side of my neck! Which still hurts now! Had to ask my brother to jab his elbow onto my right shoulder and massage. FOC massage, what to do. If someone backs out on my appointment tomorrow, i will be heading down for a shoulder massage! I can't take this any longer!

After laughing too hard and straining my neck, we headed down to her place and for some strange reason, a zillion buses passed our bus stop but none of them were going to her place! So we ended up standing at the bus stop and doing our usual bitching. Just realised that Miss What's place was really near Bunny's and a vegetarian friend's house too....

Upon arriving at Miss What's house, Miss What's mum commented loudly that Ah Zai was so skinny! And after she realised that he understood Mandarin, she said something about not being able to scold him in Mandarin at all. Haha... The film we watched was called Elling and it was really funny! I laughed even more (despite my horribly strained neck) and i must have shifted Miss What's sofa's cushions too much from my laughing! Learned quite a bit from that movie which is that Austistic people are generally quite attention seeking (Ok, maybe everyone except me knows that, must be something like the Sister's Island. Only i didn't know.) and that if a guy has sex with a heavily pregnant woman while in her 9th month, she will get contractions and end up giving birth faster! I was squirming at that thought and Ah Zai started his Encyclopedia mode, "Ya, you didn't know that? Hey! You are a girl and you should know all these stuff! Why am i telling you all these!"

Sorry lar. Really dunno mah......

After the movie, Miss What decided to walk us out to the bus stop and while in the lift, she told us that she had the Beyonce's Live in Wembley dvd! Ah Zai and I screamed so loudly that i thought the lift was going to stop (but it didnt obviously) as we have that dvd title in our Hollywood Clicks list for really long, and there was no sign of it being sent to us. Amazingly, i got home in less than 45 mins, thanks to the Gangster bus driver to Bishan and the wonderfully empty train (which i was extremely happy with) and the Bus 54 bus which appeared magically at Newton Station the moment i stepped out of the Mrt station. Woohooo~

Was supposed to go gymming with Miffy today but she decided to "aeroplane" me because her collegue kept pestering her to go for dinner. Haha... she wasn't very keen on that dinner though. I decided to take the bus to Potong Pasir Mrt with my collegues for the first time today and decided to stop by the Guardian to buy some shampoo and conditioner to put in my George Street's gym locker. While i was getting my shampoo, my 2 collegues were standing in front of the slimming pills aisle and stoning there for no reason! They looked really funny actually. While paying for my purchases, i noticed that there was a special offer on this conditioner, dunno the brand but have seen it before lar. Only $1!!! And it usually retails for $6.99! So i grabbed it and apparently, if you spend $10 and above you will get a FOC Neutrogena 250ml Shower Gel!! (which i got lar) I was so happy because i could leave that in my locker as well. That thing costs a bomb ok. The big bottle of that already costs $9.90.....

Noticed a really funny sight as i was walking to the gym today. I had to pass the beautiful swimming pool before entering the gym and they were having an "AquaFit" class then. "Aquafit" class is like... having some sort of aerobics like movements in the pool. Actually i dunno lar, i guessed that only. The people in the pool were doing some warm up where they had to walk in the pool and do alternate squats. So from far, you can see them bobbing up and down the surface of the pool and my first thought was "Oh my god! They look like Mandarin ducks!" I had to refrain from looking any more otherwise i would have laughed at them and end up spraining my neck again.

Hmmm......... My brother's elbow massage seemed to have helped a little.

Tuesday, July 19, 2005

Today, i had an interesting phone call. From some auntie sounding person from the office of StreetsArts.

Now, why in the world would they call me up for? I'm not taking part in the upcoming competition (though Miffy asked me to join with her but i declined in the end) and I have not filled up any lucky draws (except the one at Swensons with Bunny on Sat) or any surveys. So i was extremely surprised by this phone call. So Auntie starts off with.... "Is this Dennis Gan??"

Falls off chair slightly.

"No, it's De-nise Gan."

"HArrrrrr????!"

"DEr..... nieceeeee Gan....."

"Errr, Dennis ah?"

*Slaps hand over forehead. "Nevermind. Yes, why did you call?"

So she explains that she is calling from StreetsArts and asked if i had a friend by the name of CHUN LIANG. i scratch my head and think out loud, "Chun Liang???? Sounds familiar... (At this time, Miffy's chinese name comes to mind : LengChiow..... No... cannot be. Lawerence's chinese name?? : Wei Liang.... also dont gel together!) So i asked if Chun Liang has an English name.

"Oh, this is his English name.... Chun Liang."

Harrrr???? How can that be??? So again i ask for what is she calling for. After thinking outloud for a while, the only other person's name that sounded vaguely familiar was one of Ah Zai's friend whom i have met once only..... called Jun Liang. Then i recall that Ah Zai, Gaz, Sarcastic Guy and JL are joining the above mentioned competition. AAAAhhh......

So i ask arent there the other group members that she can call and it turned out that my name and number was put down as the emergency contact! (You call this an emergency??) She said yeah, but all the rest Malay one... (Wah! sibei racist lor!!) So i explained to her that JL is not in Singapore currently as he is holidaying in Bangkok and to call Ah Zai instead.

Then she proceeded to pronounce every other person's name wrongly! (except for Ah Zai's one i think.) Gaz's name as RidWan and Sarcastic Guy's name as Hi-Ham. Man...............

Now we are trying to book some tickets for Batman begins (i know a bit late lar) and seems like only at Causeway has it at a timing after 4pm! Oh noooo....

Friday 15th July 2005

had a very exhausting Body Pump class with Miffy and decided to try out the other outlet at UOB Plaza/Building and we were super late! The classroom was actually outdoors and we totally couldn't find it. When we finally found it, the class was packed already (only about 10+ people??) because it was a very small space and around the perimeter of the outdoor space, were all the bicycles for the cycling class! I kinda liked the idea of having the class with the birds and butterflies outside and I'm always for fresh air anyway. Luckily it wasn't very warm because it had just rained! Woohoo.....

There was a rather sweet lady who helped us to get out stuff for the class and both Miffy and i were busy running from front to back of the class to get our bar and weights and blahblahblah. The instructor was some bald guy called RAM and he talked like Ali G!!! He spoke with an extremely strong Bollywood like accent and it was mildly irritating and he sounded like he was on some recorder!! After the class, Miffy and I felt so cramped so we nua-ed by the pool.... Mr Ram walked past and i realised that he did not speak with that horrible accent during class! So funny...

Went scouting for food at Boat Quay after that and decided on some Thai food that looked promising. It was right next to an indoor tanning studio though and i found it highly amusing. Too bad there werent any customers inside and only the bosses came out of the place. Thought i could see how effective the fake tan might look on someone. Too bad.

Ordered a bowl of green curry chicken - which was alright, but it was too watery and a Miffy had some Phat Thai or something like that. Her noodle dish was nice and we shared a bowl of nice spicy Tom Yam soup! we started our bitching session after dinner while i told her about how some clowns still cant pronounce my name properly even after i tell them the correct way and the best part? This supplier with the name "Dennis" called me Dennis. Faint lor. She could not stop bitching about one of her collegue's girlfriend... who looked... erm, out of this world. Let's just say that she was blown away by her.... ugliness?? Miffy said she could not concentrate on her work and she found it hard to draw a simple section in Autocad. Wow. talk about being blown away by someone's "beauty". kekekkekeke.......

She wanted to meet her friends at Clarke Quay but we could not make it there cause both of us were really really tired. Walked from boat quay and crossed over to Empress Place where we saw 3 really cute cats! The last cat we saw outside Asian Civilisation Museum was the absolute cutest. It would roll on it's back when you meow at it! How often do you get a cat to roll on it's back when you meow at it???? Tried to convince Miffy to take it home to care for it and put it up for adoption. A really cool cat if you ask me.

Saturday 16th July 2005

Didn't really feel like going for gym in the morning but decided to drag myself out of bed and meet Bunny for combat. (I kept telling myself that the membership is not cheap so better make full use of it.) Think i was still exhausted from the night before class, so i was only giving 70% of my energy. It was extremely obvious during the class and the instructor even "scolded" me for not giving my all. Opps. scary.........

On the way for lunch at Swensons with darling Bunny, she was telling me about the research that she did for Sister's island. Here is the short paragraph of the Myth of The Sister's island :

"A long time ago lived a pair of beautiful sisters, Minah & Lina, who shared a bond so strong that nothing can separate them. But one day, the notorious chief of the Orang Laut met and fell in love with Lina. Despite the sisters' pleas, the chief took her away and forced her into the sampan. Just then, the sky turned dark and a storm broke out. As Minah made a final attempt to save her sister from leaving the jetty, a large wave came and engulfed her. On seeing this, Lina freed herself from her captors and jumped into the sea to join Minah. The storm subsided but nowhere can the sisters be found. Instead, two islands emerged from where they had drowned. Called Subar Laut (3.9 ha) & Subar Darat (1.7ha), the two small islands are now known as Sisters' Islands . It was said that every year on that very day when the sisters turned into islands, there will always be storm and rain."

Ahhhh... interesting. for some reason i only remember the myth of how Singapore's Redhill got its name. And i joked with Bunny there i will drown her on some island and that island will be called "Bunny Island" and it will be populated with hopping bunnies. Then the catchphrase to attract tourists would be "Have you adopted a bunny today??"

I was still feeling tired after lunch and i went home and nua-ed on my sofa for a few hours. Caught a dvd called "When the cat's away" (A french film) and slept for a short while. Was supposed to meet "Miss What" - Jacq for dinner because she wanted to borrow my colour pencils/markers. Miss What was also feeling really lazy and was still in bed at 5pm! Decided to meet after dinner at Esplanade to catch Baybeats (some free performances, as she is always the first one to catch any freebies. :D) at 8.30pm. Ah Zai was supposed to meet his friend (the one who pulled his shirt outside Gold Dust) but his friend was still at Pasir Panjang area till really late. He was also feeling lazy that day and so the 3 of us lazy worms decided to meet at Ang Mo Kio first. I felt like driving that day so i took the car and offered to pick Miss What up, but she said she also wanted to drive so we left my car at Ang Mo Kio Central's parking lot and she drove to Esplanade.

Drove through the Lavender Road and into the Marina Square area by Republic Ave by Ah Tong's instructions (which helped!) and parked at Sheares bridge carpark (which i never knew existed). We watched only one performance by a local band called "Surreal" where the crowd was fantastic! I didn't know that local bands could get such a crowd! Never underestimate them. After the half and hour performance, we headed back to the car where i tried to tell them about the myth of Sister's island. But Ah Zai decided to bitch me by saying "Who doesnt know about Sisters Island??!" So i refused to tell him the myth after that. Hmph.

Drove to Lau Pa Sat and had some satay and poor Miss What tried to order some Iced Tehcinno but the drink stall uncle told her that Tehcinno dont have the iced version one. If she wanted iced one, then she has to get Iced Teh Tarik. Harrrrrrr???? I didnt know that too! So that day i learnt about the Sisters island and Tehcinno got no iced version.

We must have sat there for a really really long time yakking because we left only at 2am! We started talking about the pros and cons of our design industry and how to handle client's and stupid contractors. I told them that i wanted to set up a contracting firm where we will produce wonderfully detailed works and build the place with our own bare hands! Then Ah Zai said that there was a similar project done overseas where the interior designers actually built up what they really designed! Then Miss What kept telling us to work for the next 5 years to accumulate as much work experience and set up our own design firm after that! And later eventually turn it into an Architect firm (this is where Ah Tong comes in useful)! So i suggested that all 3 of us start saving $50 every month until 5 years later to get our company start up fee! Haha... not much i know but it's a start what!

After that exciting talk we decided to head home. My car was the only car left in the row of parking lots and i thought i got a parking fine! Actually i saw wrongly. It was the reflection of my wipers. Decided to send Ah Zai home since we were in the north area and followed the MRT track line to his place! I needed to go to the toilet badly so i said that i will stop at a petrol station on the way there.

3rd lesson of the day learnt : There are no petrol stations on the MRT line road from Ang Mo Kio to Woodlands.

Ok lar, actually got, but must turn into side roads which i didn't want to because i was afraid of getting lost. So ended up using his toilet in his house. Being a real hopeless in the West and North area, Ah Zai had to draw a line with arrows on my hopeless street directory to help me get to the expressway. Which eventually what happened was i turned left at the first turn when it should have been a right. See lar, draw line on my map still cannot make it. Luckily i realised my mistake after turning and had to make a U-turn. The expressway directions were a little confusing and i thought i was travelling on the road to the Woodlands check point! But luckily again, i was not and managed to reach home. Was happily driving at 120km/h (not very fast lar actually) because the roads were super empty!! WWWWOooooooooooohoo!

its been like.... almost 10 days since i stepped into the gym due to my extremely hectic new work environment and leaving the office at the earliest time of 6.30pm only when my official time off is 5.30pm. i always tell myself that i can go to the last class of the night at gym even if i leave late, but i feel so mentally exhausted by then that i really can't bring myself to the far away land of Paragon or George Street for my physically exhausting class. Ok, its far away because of my office location and i think i have been giving myself lame excuses for not gymming the past 10 days or so. So today, i managed to leave work @ 5.40pm!

I bribed poor Bunny to pick me up from work and nearly caused her to have an accident outside my office building because there were like... 5 Huge VITAGEN vans parked by the small 2 lane road and she tried to make a 3 point turn but her HUMONGOUS Mercs could not squeeze through so some guy had to tell some other driver to move. Then she got horned at when she tried to wait outside the medicated oil factory because the butt of her car was sticking out! So poor thing.... And i made her wait because my boss was talking to me about some work. Opps....

Parked at Cairnhill Carpark and while trying to park next to this Mercs Van in the parking lot, the lady driver kept tiao-ing Bunny! At first i didn't take much notice but after Bunny parked, I looked up to her van to make sure that she doesnt slam her door into mine, but she suddenly turned and gave me an extremely dirty look! Like, i slammed the door into her van like that! Wah lau..... I think some people are just born with permanently angry faces. She must be one of them.

Managed to make it for the 6.30pm class AND Bunny bought her gloves for combat class too! Thought we wouldnt be able to make it, but miraculously, we did it. Bunny kept saying that she felt very weak and thought that it might have been due to the fact that she wakes up at 5.45am and mentally exhausted. And since i told her that i have been mentally drained out from my work as well, we drank some 100 plus to up our sugar level. Think it helped lar.

We got into class a little too late though and all the gym-mies have already chope-d their places for combat. So it only left us space, right in front of the mirrors. Where the regulars usually stand. Felt extremely self conscious and was really not used to it, and i had to turn my head permanently to the right side to see what the instructor was doing. I think i must have looked very spastic.

Finally decided to check on my status of my shoe locker at Paragon. Called 2 months ago and asked to be put on the waiting list. At first the girl over the line, told me that im like No...... 140+???? But i still requested to be put on the waiting list. So far, no calls or anything of that sort. So i thought, since im like... so far down the list, sure wont call so fast. So today i enquired about it, and realised that my name is NOT EVEN ON THE WAITING LIST!!! Wah lau!!! That means that stupid girl over the phone DID NOT PUT MY NAME DOWN!!!! aaaaaarrggggghhhhh..... Hopefully they will give me some pirority now since i said that i called 2 months ago. Haiz.

Amazingly, both of us felt much better after that and she had to go Kino to get her school's literature book, "The English Teacher" by Narayan. And yes, this was the same author for that Lit text that we did for school. Cant remember the title though.

I think i am feeling the after effects of not going shopping for some time as well, and i am itching to spend some money!! So i have started my ebay sprees again.... ok, just looking for now but i found stuff that i wanna get! Woohoo!! Hahahahaa.... But the auction ends at 10am tomorrow. dunno if i can make it to bid..... : (

Wednesday, July 13, 2005

just came back from dinner with Gaz and Ah Zai. Today, was a Total bitching session. for some weird reason, the 3 of us took turns scolding or bitching each other for every small thing! Since i was early, i decided to go to Paragon for some window shopping. Was extremely distracted by the Straits Times photo exhibition and wandered over to take a look. It was really interesting and there were so many cute photos.... And i didn't know that Singapore went through so many disasters and riots. I didn't know that there was a bomb blast outside the MacDonalds House (at Dhoby Ghaut) in the early 1940s or 50s lar. And there were so many riots that happened... There was also this incident where a Dutch family gave away their daughter to a Malay family before the WWII, but apparently after the war ended, they wanted their daughter back! Waaaaahh, you give people already can ask back one meh..... These people ah... too much lor. Then there was some distress or riots over this incident ok! Singapore's history is richer than i thought...

My favourite photo was one of Goh Cheok Tong and some other ministers who attended some event at a country club, then the photographer told them to sit on this shallow plywood box because if they stood, they would be blocking the sponsers logos behind. But.......... the wonderful shallow plywood box was not designed for 4 guys to sit on it, so it obviously gave way... so the photo captured was really cute and candid!

Gaz and i then walked over to Lucky plaza where we wanted to eat the "Ayam Pengyet" - Smashed Chicken, on the 4th Floor, but our clever Ah Zai decided to take the bus 167 from Yishun area which happens to take like, a million years to get to Orchard. So we only managed to get to Lucky Plaza at 830pm. Which the store had closed by then. Walked over to Scotts where we shared some Nann and 3 curries between us and i forgot how filling Nann can be! Gaz then bought some Roti-boy for me to try and that was super filling too. Ah Zai told me to help him get the Lemon flavoured Qoo drink, but when i went to the drink counter, i saw 3 different Qoo drinks on display but i could not seem to find the lemon flavoured one. So when the guy took out a can and i saw this lemon logo on it, i said, "Yeah thats the one". But..... it actually turned out that i got "Orange Blast" instead of the lemony flavoured one. When i brought it back to the table, he was upset that i got the Blast instead and i defended myself by saying that there was a lemon logo on it.

The lemon logo turned out to be an image for the sentence, "this drinks contains 1/2 the vitamin C of a lemon" (substitute the lemon word with the small lemon logo).

Chey............ how i know.... Got lemon i thought correct mah... So bimbotic. :P

After dinner, we walked over to Paragon (again!) to meet 2 of Gaz's friends at Coffee Bean, where i realised that i really do not like the drinks at CB. There didnt seem to be anything that wasn't too sweet, not chocolatey, not coffee or tea. There was Snapple and a small bottle of Mineral water for $2.50 (Not even Evian, still dare to charge this kind of sky-high prices.) so i settled for plain water instead. Again, on the way to Coffee Bean, we continued our bitching to each other and attacked each other relentlessly. We concluded that we were behaving that way tonight because we were missing our usual punching bag (a certain someone. haha!) so we ended up taking it out on each other. But it felt pretty good actually. Keekkekekeee!

My office collegues
Yes, after working for about one week, i realised that i have not talked about the people at my office. There are 2 girls who have been working for our company for about 3 plus years, the Secretary/Personal Assistant is a really funny girl, and makes more of an effort to try to talk to you and get to know you better. Let's call her, hmmmm.............. Lady. Erm, apparently, the other female designer calls her that. i dunno why, must be like how i call Miffy "Woman!" or something along that line. Except that im more ah lian. Anyway, the female designer, Hungry, is always hungry. She is quite skinny but toned as well. Heard from Lady that she apparently plays some sort of soccer (not those type of English Premier League football one) and swims often.

There is also a new freelance girl who comes in at flexible hours and works with us for project basis. Hmmm... Call her..... Shawl Girl. Because she always wears a shawl to work. Was from Malaysia and became a Singapore PR more than 10 years ago. She was very unhappy at her previous company and worked there for 5 years before deciding to make a change in her life! Quite easy to talk to, except must converse with her in Mandarin. Which i am so bad in. Caught her staring at my eyes very closely before and when i asked her what was she doing, she said she thought that i had put really heavy eye make up! *Bish!* I didn't know my dark eye rings could have the smokey effect!! Hahahaa!

Last collegue is a new guy who manages site and basically anything my boss asks him to do. His name is extremely similar to mine, in fact, its the male version of my name, EXCEPT that...... His name is missing 1 N, when it should be spelt with 2. After a while, i asked him whether he gave himself that name or it was his parents. Apparently its him lar.... hmmmmm... Anyway, its not really fun when there are 2 collegues in the office with extremely similar sounding names, and not to mention that LOTS of people pronounce my name like his. So i always have to listen up extra hard and wait for someone to call me twice before i realise that they are calling out to me. Miffy suggested that my collegues call my by my Chinese name. NO WAY MAN!!! so i proposed that my other collegues call him by his Chinese name. Cant really remember his Chinese name but i know it sounds like Yong Yi or something like that. So we call him "Mr Easy" - Rong Yi (in Mandarin). sounds a bit wrong, but never mind lar. haha...

Ok, off to feed my chinnies and to bed!

Friday 8th July 2005

heheheheh.... right now im at bunny's house after helping her to dye her hair and im not used to typing on her beautiful 13" ibook... her new expensive keyboard guard seems very..... rubbery feeling and im so scared that my long sharp nails will damage the guard.... opps...

anyway, my first week of work and i have been swamped with stuff, my boss gave me some bathroom drawings to do... on monday and she needed them by wednesday......which i just confidently said i could finish by then. But it is actually virtually impossible! i was so garang to say that i could finish it.so of course i had to tell her on wed that i could get it done by friday, but when we went through the drawings today, there were more changes to the design, so further delay. haiz...

Sunday 10th July 2005

Let's see.. I have not updated for such a long time.... Hmm.... This week i managed to meet up with Chinki for dinner and some dessert at Sakae Sushi and Nydc.... where we bitched about anything and everything. I was going to comment something about the way this girl was walking and how her skirt was flouncing around dangerously at her butt, but before i could open my mouth, i realised that she was walking back to her seat at Nydc next to Chinki!! Lucky never say anything, otherwise her date or whoever that guy was would have heard everything! Hahahaha... She was really walking like she was some supermodel on a catwalk can.... Cannot help it mah. If you had seen her, you will bitch about it too ok.

Chinki decided to cut her hair really really short on impulse and that seems to have gotten her into some trouble with the airline company. Opps. I think i was a little high on our chocolate overdose that night, because i suddenly had this grand idea on how to make her hair longer overnight.

"Chinki! I have a very good idea! {Hahahahaha} You can try using mascara to lengthen the fringe of your hair! I think it should work!!" {Hahahahahahaha!!! - This sentence was followed by me laughing hysterically and Chinki having a ._. expression.}

"You crazy ah! How can that work?! I will have to use like.... 10 mascaras for the front part of my hair already lor! Siaoooooo ah!"

By then i was laughing too much to bother to argue back.

So that was Tuesday. Wednesday night, I managed to get Miffy, Susie and Gaz to go for Mr Backfire King's event at Mox Bar. For some reason, i must have conveyed the message to them wrongly because they all thought that Backfire King was performing! And they kept asking me which person on stage was him! When i had already greeted him at the door! Anyway, my fault. Haha.... I was a little disappointed that it was held above Mox, where Toy Factory used to be and the place was revamped into a totally white pure space. With white colour Queen size beds as some seating and a miserable stage tucked at the corner. Trying to be Bed Supper Club but CMI.

Anyway, the lead singer of the performing band looked like Ah Zai! Except that his face was longer but his mannerisms were quite alike! Miffy seemed especially tickled by that and Susie took photos and we got him to video too! But as usual, he never uploads the photos and sends them to us because he still has photos from our previous gathering!!! Waaaaaaaahhhh!! No wonder his memory card was full.

There was supposedly 2 sets to the band's performance, but i really wanted to go downstairs and sit on the retro looking furniture so i dragged them downstairs and Backfire looked sad that i didn't want to stay! But he managed to find us downstairs [i thought he was drunk by then] and chatted with him for a while. Think he was also a little sad that most of his friends could not come.

Anyway, it was Miffy's first time at Mox and she was super amused by the names of the drinks! She kept saying she wanted to order this happening drink called WooWoo! but she settled for Mango Candy while i got Ray of Sunshine. Susie and I argued about which one of the mocktails was the nicer one. I insisted that it was my drink while he also insisted that it was his Mango Candy. Oh well...

Spent the night yakking away and laughing at every small thing. Must be the mocktails. The previous time we were at Mox, we were laughing like hyenas for the whole night. Talked till midnight because we lost track of time and brought Miffy down to Happy downstairs to see the beautiful 2 million $$ renovation. Saw a guy peeing at a urinal and i think he was embarrased. Went home tired but happy.

Had a small tiff with Bunny over something stupid but was cleared up before we met on Friday. Went over to stay at her place and helped her dye her hair. When she told her mum that morning that i was staying over, and we had to lug that sofa bed from the study on the first floor to the third, her mum commented, "Why you all don't want to share your bed?? Your bed so big what, why must carry this heavy thing upstairs?"

Both our answers were, "Oh ya hor. How come we didnt think of that." Bunny syndrome.

Decided to dye her hair outside at her room's balcony where it was quite cooling and it wouldnt stink or dirty her room up so much. Felt weird sharing a queen sized bed with her because i think this is my first experience sharing a comforter with someone and after that i joked with her that, i would get 2 comforters when i get marriedl. Or if i get married. 1 comforter for each, so no fighting for the comforter! Bunny wanted to get an extra blanket from her cupboard in case we had a case of territorial syndrome over the comforter, but she was too lazy to get up.

Anyway, i apparently stole the comforter all to myself in the middle of the night and poor Bunny dreamt that she was stuck in a "War-of-the-worlds-scenario" where the forest was really cold and freezing her toes off. That was when she woke up in the middle of the night and realised that i had the "Territorial Syndrome". We also concluded that we were sleeping too far apart from each other, so when we each turned to face the other side...... you get the picture. The comforter also dunno where to go.

Saturday 9th July 2005

Had dinner with Ah Zai at Genki Sushi where he ate very little and our bill came up to $26.50 only! Of course, needless to say i was still hungry and went to Big-O for dessert. Yum! There, he tried unsuccessfully to connect to the free wireless connection from Nydc [we were across at Big O] and was super frustrated while i was happily eating my "Indecent Obsession". Wahahahaa... i like the name of this cake. So kinky. And it tasted really nice too. After eating 3/4 of the cake, i realised that he didn't eat any at all, because he thought i didn't want to share it with him! Mumbled something about not wanting to get dirty with him with "Indecent Obsession". We also tried to use the Bluetooth function in my phone with his laptop, but again another backfire event.

The new 4th Gen Ipod is out!!!! COLOUR SCREEN CAN!!!!!
Can view photos can!!!!
O.H M.Y G.O.D!!!!
time to sell off mine and upgrade..... heeeheeheheeee.... and guess what??! It only costs $528!! Which is the original price of the 4th Gen monochrome iPod! So darn tempting! And the U2 one costs only $588!!! I need money. Maybe i should be a promoter for Shape magazine for their road show to earn extra $$ for it........ Haha. What a joke. :D

For some reason, Ah Zai received an sms from an Annoymous number asking him to go for the opening night of some club called Gold Dust at Orchard Towers. At the rear block. He was very skeptical of that place because it sounded like a gay bar but i was very curious as well so we decided to check it out. [This was before our dinner by the way.] As we were about to reach the rear block by walking from the side of Orchard Towers, we were shocked by some shouting and suddenly we saw this guy being pinned down by this rather fat guy/bouncer and some other guy was punching him! Turned out that guy was some.... dunno what he do lar. maybe he stole money or molest some girl, who was actually a guy maybe?? Anyway, there was already a police car outside the building, so of course the mata arrived very quickly and handcuffed him away.

We then felt it was safe to walk to the Rear Block now. The exterior of the club looked very CMI and the 2 waiter/waitresses were wearing an all black outfit with a glittery gold belt! So bling bling!! After observing the crowd for a while we decided to go eat our dinner first. As we were about to cross the road, this guy suddenly called out to Ah Zai and pulled him gently on his sleeve but on my perspective, i heard someone shouting and when i turned around, I thought that guy was going to rob Ah Zai!!! Then i realised that it was his friend. Chey. Thought he wanted to rob his iBook or something.

So, after our genki dinner and Big O dessert, we walked back and decided to see how happening was the club. Saw Kumar sitting in the mini VIP lounge which was shoved at the corner near the entrance. Deduced that the VIP lounge was for them to see, and to be seen. Anyway, it turned out that the place was actually a Boom Boom Room revived! By a new management.... So cool! So miffy and Chinki wont miss out on it after all.... Happening! I absolutely love Kumar and kept laughing really loudly at the jokes.... My favourite is always the MTV section. Wahahahahhaa~

Anyway, gotta wash off some hair treatment on my head now and go to bed. And dream of cold forests and colour screen iPods........

the big boxy present was for Mr Bedok and the 2nd biggest rectangular shaped one was for Gaz, which was a polo tee and the mini gift on top was for Mr Sarcastic, who happened to sms while i was in Bangkok and shamelessly asked for a gift when i return. Got him a new wristband because i think he never washes his black nike one.

CMI aka Susie looking frustrated. I think it was because we didn't pay any attention to him. Haha!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Decided to take a photo with Ah Zai because i realised that i do not have any photos of him with me only! I look super cheesy here i dunno why.

Dun play play ok, bought from this shop called "The Loft" ok..... wahahahha... Oh, and the bottom of the black lego brick is actually a screen cleaner as well. Which we then used it to clean my spectacles. Not bad le!

Erm, Susie was in charge of getting a birthday cake, but instead, he got a whole apple strudel because there weren't any suitable cake shops in Centrepoint. Talk about being different man.

what an eventful last day at work.

ah meow told me that the prata shop outside our office is really good, apparently some friends reccomendations. The prata was described to be SUPER ah. Since it was raved about in such a manner, of course i must try. So i made a breakfast date with Ah Meow today. This coffeeshop also happens to be a rather weird coffeeshop. The last time i went there, i asked for a teh-si-sui-dai takeaway. But what was the auntie's answer??

Wo men che pian mei you siiiiiiiiiii de!!

Har??? was my shocked expression. How can a local coffeeshop not sell any tea with the siiiiii??? As in, with evaporated milk?? Disappointed, i tried the other coffeeshop just directly outside our office. Lucky they had.

Anyway, back to the prata date with Ah Meow. The prata didnt look anything great or different. But it was really nice! The curry was a little sweet with a very slight spicy curry taste... not too overpowering or full of curry power taste. Slightly different from other prata stores... Ah Meow ordered 1 egg and 1 kosong prata. Her egg prata was not like the usual egg prata that we usually get. The egg's texture was not fully cooked inside the prata and was slightly similar to that of a half boiled egg for the egg prata! Which according to Meow, was delicious! Because i know that she finished her egg prata really really quickly!

After that rather fulfilling and wonderful breakfast, we started the day with a rather full tummy. We went out for lunch at 1pm and we decided to da pao back 1 teriyaki chicken burger from mos each. I ordered my food from this auntie, who seriously looked like a half dead zombie and didnt look like she wanted to be behind the counter at all. But desperate to get my food, i just rambled off my order to her. She packed my iced milk tea into the small plastic bag in a reluctant fashion, took a straw from under the counter, plonked it into the bag, took the milk from under the counter again, and threw it into the bag in the same fashion. After returning my change, i noticed that there was a teriyaki chicken burger ready on their metal counter. [You know the one where the cook behind slides the cooked burgers onto this metal thing. yeah.] Not wanting to wait any longer, i pointed the cooked burger to the zombie auntie.

Auntie ah, that burger is ready already. Maybe you can give that to me?

With half closed eyes and turning her body in a zombie like fashion, she noticed the burger sitting on the counter. After like staring at it for a few seconds. She then packed it unglamly into another small plastic bag and passed it to me without a word. I told Meow that she was the most dead staff i have ever seen at Mos. Maybe she should have taken MC if she was sick or tired. Aiyoh. Wanted to vommit blood lor.

Anyway, when i reached the office, and opened my wonderful burger, guess what happened??? There was absolutely no lettuce inside!!! Only the 2 pieces of bread, a really smaller than usual teriyaki chicken patty and mayo.

Waaaaaaa..... seriously wanted to vommit blood on the floor man. Instead, i commanded that meow take a photo of it on her camera hp. What a day. What a lunch.

The meeting of Mr Baldy Crab

Mr Baldy Crab is this rather old man who goes to our gym and goes for our usual classes like combat and body step. Im quite surprised that he can survive through the entire cardio class. Buuuuuttt.... he had to step right into Bunny's, Meow's and my personal space!! I dunno if he takes people standing around him as some sort of guide, but it's not fun seeing someone's shoe dangerously at the side of your face for half the class. When you do a punch, you extend your arm with some force. But Mr Baldy Crab will take an extra step forward and punch at the same time. That's why he will intrude dangerously into your personal space.

So for the whole class, the 3 of us plus one poor guy that Bunny noticed behind Mr B.Crab were trying so hard to avoid him and give him his ample personal space which he apparently just... extends outside his circle automatically or something. Geez.... but it was quite amusing if you ask me...

Had a rather filling dinner at Genki Sushi afterwards with Bunny, and for some reason, i felt extremely full while she still wanted to eat some ice cream! I concluded that it was because i laughed too much and too much air went inside my tummy. So we headed down to NYDC next where she happily ate her ice cream with cheesecake. But we were both so full that we only managed to finish half of it. And the ice cream was spilling dangerously near the edge of the small plate given.

I told Bunny that a few people have mentioned that they do not understand a word when Bunny and i talk, or when Chinki and i talk, or even worse, when the 3 of us yak together! Apparently its really hard to listen to us and our tone is like... almost the same? I think its because we speak too fast when we see each other because we are excited to meet each other so we yakkityyakyakyak so noonecanunderstandanythingwesay. So we decided to speak r e a l l y s l o w l y, but it didn't work because we were back to our usual after a few sentences.

off to a new work place and environment tomorrow. hope everything will go fine and dandy and i don't get fired after one month or something. haha.

Wish me luck guys!
