have been feeling super tired and lethargic for the past 2 days and today was the worst. Dragged myself to Tiong Bahru Plaza to get Brother's and my lunch and had to lug back so many things home as well.... so many people. ugh. had lunch at home and watched Spongebob Squarepants movie [mum managed to get a dvd....ahem] and it was stupid but hilarious. what do u expect from spongebob and patrick?? dozed off for a few minutes though but i still would like to catch it in the theatre....... when it gets here soon. so anyway, decided to take a short nap and get some office work done before meeting chinki, but my short nap turned out to be 4 hours long. gosh....

thank god chinki called me at 7pm [was supposed to meet at 7.30pm] to ask for bus directions and quickly hopped out of bed to get changed.... met her at the bus stop outside my house and went to forum for a genki sushi dinner..... and i must say that it was my cheapest genki or any sushi dinner i ever had! it only turned out to be $16!! chinki and i were delighted and decided to treat ourselves to gelare waffles.... wahahaha...

so we walked to far east and had the warm delicious waffles there...and yakked about everything in this world.... until chinki asked me a shocking question which led to me spitting out the waffle. hahaha... chinki wanted to order a hot teh si to drink because of her super strong craving for it that day [i dunno what sorts of cravings she will have when she gets pregnant next time...hahha] but the dumb ya kun was closed by then. so i convinced her to walk all the way to killiney road to get the famous teh si from killiney kopitiam. so we did more walking and after the "drinking session" i got her to walk back to my house where i sent her home...

went to patrick and guiyuan's new office opening at arab street, cmi was late as usual and expected so jacq and i just went straight to the office. amazingly, we were the first ones there at 1 pm. both jacq and i were starving but we didnt dare to tear open the cling wrap over the snacks and waited till patrick did it.... pai seh mah. the office was well done up and i liked the shade of grey used for the gallery... and of course the beaded curtains..... i want in my room! and it must be swarovski crystals! ahem, anyway the guests took some time to arrive and by the time perry our lecturer turned up, jacq and i left the place. decided to get home to do my drawings. and i conveniently left my umbrella behind. im so clever.

walked to bugis to get to a guardian pharmacy to look for something for my ongoing rashes on my legs.... but i could not remember where the pharmacy was so i ta pao-ed a teh si home. only when i got onto the bus, could i remember where the pharmacy was. darn.

stayed up till 1am to finish up some office work last night, and i was so tired and my shoulder muscles were aching like crazy after sitting at the computer and not moving for such a long time. so when i walked into office this morning, i was a giant stone and could not think straight. thus, my conversation with the white lion turned out like this :

White Lion : Dern, has the guy Cheeky [or might be Chee Kee but it sounded a lot like cheeky] from Tropical Landscape got back to us with his quotation yet?

Dern : [busy printing away and sounding distracted] har?? No le.... Nobody from Cheeky Landscape called or got back to us le...

WL : Girl ah! What you talking about?? Its not Cheeky Landscape!

Me : [thinks for 2 seconds] Oh!! WAHAHAHAHHAHAAA....

Yes, so that was my super exciting morning event. The whole day was just spent staring at the computer and typing nonsense that i didn't know what i was doing and going to the gym for a workout. Its been a week since i stepped into the gym and quite a lot of things have changed. for example, there were new ugly 3d max drawings posters pasted onto the glass partitions and they have replaced some stickers in the group exercise room. the cute butt instructor today was charming as usual and made us do some star wars "light saber" movements!!! which i totally 100%... did not catch. so i just stood there blank-faced and laughed after a while. the cute butt instructor was also wearing bermudas for class today... which was a little distracting.... because i have not seen him in one before. And i was not used to it. haha.

oh ya, today is cousin gary's birthday. have to get a present for him tomorrow... or rather when i have money confirmed in my bank..... arrrgghhh... where is my pay check??

i am totally loving my 2nd hand ipod.... and so is my brother. whenever i reaches home, his hands reaches for my ipod and it becomes his permanent accessory until i go out of the house again.... haiz.

i can't wait to get the rest of the ipod accessories! i want the iTrip for the car and the beautiful arcylic casing... because i totally hate my current FOC white rubbery casing.... it looks too much like a....... !!! $$$$$$$$...

this morning i looked at my chinchilla cage, and noticed that the skinniest black chinchilla was lying at a place that he usually doesn't lie at. and when i tried to play with him, he was very listless and didn't move much. this is a HUGE sign that the chinchilla is sick when he is usually quite jumpy and reacts to me. So i quickly took urgent leave for the day and brought him to the vet....

the vet said that quite a few people have brought in their chinchillas recently because of the weather. it is a little too hot for them lately and so they will get heat stroke or heat stress. the vet put him on the floor to observe his movements and noticed that he was walking sideways, or rather wobbly, or rather un-coordinated. but he noticed that he pee-ed and poo-ed so he said that it's not at the late stage. so it also means that he has a higher chance of recovery.

basically chinchillas might or might not recover from heat stroke. because a stroke to them is like our human stroke. where it affects our daily co-ordination and thinking. basically, they will get brain damage. and that is what happened to my chin. my first chin died of heat stroke so i know fully well how one behaves when it gets heat stroke as that memory is etched in my head forever, which is also something that i regret. a lot. anyway, there is nothing that the vet can do to help the chin, not even an injection. only some supplements to strengthen the poor dear. so in total, my vetinary fees costs a whopping $86.

brought the stoned chin home who just lied at the same spot of the carrier from the vet clinic to back home. he was too blur to even know what i'm feeding him and just drank the medication and water without any struggle. [this is super rare for any chinchilla case] so for the first half of the afternoon i was worried sick about him as his body suddenly jerked and he made these weird weird noises.... and not to mention he didnt move at all and only leaned to the side of the carrier. he could not even sit up properly. it was a truly heart wrenching experience and i felt so helpless then.

by evening, he showed more signs of improvement and slept in my air-conditioned bedroom for the next 2 nights. the 2nd day, the tip of one of his ears curled back slightly [must be the curse of bunny! :D] which i suspect that is the effect of the stroke and slowly, he managed to sit up by himself, then stand up on his legs only to escaping out of his carrier when i was using the computer, to find him standing next to me.

last night he was waaay too active for me and started moving about his carrier noisily and making his weird noises again. but when i checked on him, he looked fine! so after numerous times of waking me up with his noisiness, i decided to pick him up, and threw him back to his cage with the other 3 furry friends. all this at 4 something in the morning. ugh.... had to stay and check that the rest do not bully him though. and from this morning until now, he has made tremendous progress and is happily sitting on top of the tunnel like snoopy now. *phew!

met bunny for dinner at lido and ate until the kfc zinger burger was going to spill out of my mouth... and the mad woman still wanted to go gelare and eat her waffles and ice cream! so we walked for a while at the isetan supermarket and saw a huge snow man made out of styrofoam with a nice proper set of scarfs and buttons.... and when we opened it, it was used to hold......... instant noodles. i swear the japanese think of everything on earth....... so anyway, bunny wanted to look for her drink in the cold section where both of us nearly freezed our toes off and she insisted on finding some jelly with NATA DE COCO inside.

during dinner, the local ipod seller sms-ed me to arrange to meet at far east to pass me the ipod that he was going to sell to me. so bunny and i walked there and sat at gelare until she was a little more hungry to stuff some ice cream down her stomach. i only managed 2 tiny sized bites of the waffle and ice cream. in the meantime, the ipod seller came down with the ipod and his 5 year old kid who was explaining to bunny something about the ipod. condition of the ipod was fairly good and the ear phones have not been used yet! and he gave a free rubbery protection for the ipod which retails for $59!!! waaaa... but so ugly. i want my chio arcylic casing lor....

ok i now need to figure out how to transfer songs............... wwwweeee......

so hazy!!

its been so super hazy the past few days and today it is getting a little unbearable. Singapore now smells permanently of someone blowing cigarette smoke everywhere. eeeeeeewww.....

today - sunday
stayed home and slept till 11.30am to recover from the night outing before. had lunch with mummy and bro at maxwell market before walking around chinatown. little brother is going for OBS for the whole of next week and he had to do some last minute shopping for his OBS camp. The weather is super un-bearable today. for me anyway. I could not stay out in the open for more than 5 mins before running back to the air conditioned shopping centre to seek refuge. Not even the 45mins stentorian gig at tanjong pagar could get me there... since chinki was on MC today and not flying in the air today, i thought of asking her to watch stentorian today. because she said that eee-yuer looked hunky in the photos... wahahhaha... anyway it didnt happen because she could not sleep properly last night and she was half dead when i called at 3 plus in the afternoon.

saturday night
went to the gym in the afternoon, then proceeded to bugis to meet cmi. walked to suntec cause he wanted to get the cable for his samsung phone but realised that i could pass him my brother's old one. [brother lost his expensive samsung phone in school. was stolen. so hence im stuck with the cable.] walked to millenia walk to get some flowers for gazerette's mum [she's in hospital] but being cmi, the shop was closed. grrrr.... i was not looking forward to walking all the way to city hall but luckily, i saw the free shuttle bus to city hall so we dashed to it....... only to find out that the bus driver was not inside. so we waited for a while before we moved off. we took a really long time trying to choose what flowers to get and finally decided on the beautiful giant holland rose. waited again for the florist to wrap it before we rushed to SGH.

i have to say that gazerette really 100% looks like his dad!!! hahaha... when i saw his dad i was like, "your daddy har?" anyway, his mum had a fever ever since she was at hospital and she just removed her bone marrow the day before we saw her. but it was a very heart warming experience to see gazerette sayang-ing his mummy and looking after her. such a good son..... his parents were nagging him to hurry take his driving license and go do more exercise.... his face was crunched up the whole time..... heehee. his 2 other friends, rizal [a hot malay guy who is a model for n.u.m - new urban male] and dexter [who coincidently looks a little like dexter from the cartoon series] were at the hospital as well.... and we were arguing on where to go after leaving the hospital. finally decided on bugis, which was where i met cmi earlier in the day!! arrrghh.

anyway, it was a lot of walking before we ended up at the esplandae, but not before getting lost at marina square looking for the cinema. apparently they had to re-route that place to the cinema AGAIN so we were going through this giant maze before reaching the cinema. by the time we got there, i just plonked myself next to gazerette on the sofa and refused to move until the tickets were bought. dragged ourselves to thai express for dinner and cmi was whining the whole time that he was hungry and that he was going to faint. had a good tom yum glass noodles soup and lazed by the riverside once again. gazerette had to contribute to the haze by smoking.

was dead tired by the time i got to the cinema to catch 'closer'. thought i was going to sleep right through the movie but i did not. guess it was pass my sleepy hour. anyway, was disappointed with the show, cause i thought that it should be a good movie but it turned out to be like some.... high class porn show. hahaa.... natalie portman was gorgeous as usual. i can't stand her!!!! [sour grapes]

monday
dunno if i'm feeling a little too sensitive today but i just felt like people were going against me for some reason. i felt like i was being put down and i ended up feeling upset for a while in the afternoon. even scrapped my usual monday gym plans and went for retail theraphy instead. bought myself a cute bag from gg5 that i have been eyeing for some time now. it looks a little like a wonton. you know, those wontons in wonton mee??? yeeeaa.. and a new purple blouse.. geez. spend more $$ again.... but felt a little better after that, although i wanted to get this pair of black pants that didnt have my size!!!! uuugh..

oh, lunch with bosses was quite funny today. they intially were very excited to see this glass supplier at mosque street, so they said to eat at this teochew restaurant nearby. turned out that there was a long queue so we changed plans and ate by this other teochew restaruant by the road side. this guy in a baby blue colour mercedes thought white lion [my male boss] was going to steal his parking space, but we were not ok!

the service at the restaurant was very slow and for some reason, the waitresses were not speaking in teochew [as it usually should be for this case] and white lion didnt seem pleased with that fact. we ate the teochew style "yu sheng" which was a totally different method from the usual one where we toss the salad around and make a big mess on the table. supposed to take the salad and dip it into the sauces provided but for some reason, they changed the style and the waitress just threw all the vegetables on top of the raw fish and we had to toss it like the normal yu sheng. felt so cheated lor. i so wanted to see how to eat yu sheng "the teochew way"........

so after that, we had to wait pretty long for the rest of the dishes to arrive so the white lion started bitching about the people in the restaurant. he spotted this girl sitting in front of him whom he thinks 100% had a nose job. he commented that no chinese will have a nose bridge so high that your left eye will be totally blocked and not able to see your right eye.... get what i mean?? then he proceeded to comment about this woman who walked into the restaurant with a hairstyle similar to that of a bird's nest. ah meow and i laughed till we knocked our heads together!!! ouch.... *%$#^@$&^# in the meantime,meow and my other boss were discussing about this woman's bag that looked like this horribly expensive brand found in taka.... supposedly costs like... $300+ for a small bag... that woman's bag was like.... huge lor.

had a humongous lunch that left me super full and was not hungry even till dinner time.... bleh...

i hate pimples...

i have a super irritating pimple on the right side of my nose that is just waiting to appear full force and everytime i touch my nose, its painful!! they say that when u get a pimple on your nose, you have actually let someone down..... opps... no idea who is that. whatever it is, its retribution for me lar! ahhhh... so pain.....

met an unexpected person on sat at borders when ah zai and i was drooling over russel wong's new photography book. all i can say about that person is...... DIS-gusting. anyway, ah zai has always been talking about this author david sedaris and we saw his book at the "3 for the price of 2. Buy 3 books with this same sticker and get the cheapest one free!!" After hovering around that section for a while, ah zai decided to make his purchases: - david sedaris [cant remember the title already], lord of the flies [i told him that i read that for my literature text in secondary school, but realised after he purchased it, that i could have just lent to him my lit text. oh well. guess its MIA anyway.], and the 5 people you meet in heaven. i stole the last book from him to read... heh heh heh... he cant finish reading all at the same time anyway, right? :P

parents bought a new car yesterday. but when u see it, you can't tell the difference. except maybe for the colour. and the extra seat in the car. and the tv inside. don't ask. hai.....

i have been eating yu sheng so much for the past few days ever since the chinese new year started, that i think it has quite an effect on my stomach! last night, i felt this cramped up feeling at the left side of my stomach. still is around now.... even meow said that everyone she spoke to seems to have some stomach problems these few days.... i concluded must be from all the junk that i have been eating.... bak kua lar, almond cookies.. pineapple tarts, lapis cake..... basically anything that i lay eyes on recently.... opps...

wanted to go gym today but meow was not going cause shes not feeling well, whilst mascara woman has a hot date with her boyfriend. didnt want to go for the class today alone, so decided to head home and watch tv the whole night. and of course typing this as well.....

ugh. going back to work is such a drag..... need a new environment desperately..... what should i do???

gong xi fa cai, wan shi ru yi....... hahahaha... i just love chinese new year, the only time of the year to have an excuse to eat lots of good food, snacks, tidbits and collect lots of ang pows!! $$$$$$....

went visiting from morning till 4pm today, by the time i got to my grandma's house [the last stop] i was exhausted and i just wanted to plonk back to bed. could not sleep the night before though i was so tired out. spent the whole of yesterday cleaning out my room and by evening, i realised that i didnt have a proper set of bedsheets to match my new quilt cover set that i bought. so i had to rush down to ikea to get a new set and luckily i got there before 5pm and the carpark charges was a whopping $0.73! for half an hour that is.... woo hoo!

so got home today after all the visiting, and showered and slept through till 7.30pm... woke up and ate some instant noodles cause no where is open for food... then got glued to the tv set for the whole evening until now... watched the amazing race finale and was so sad that kris and jon was second......... darn! and now, there is a new season of amazing race 7... wooo...

now feeling sleepy again, i guess i will go back to bed to catch up on some sleep. im still trying to figure whose house i can go to collect more money.... wahahahahaa... i want my ipod shuffle. and many other material things as well.... im so evil. :D

meow's birthday lunch... : D

had a surprise birthday lunch for meow today at swenson's crown prince branch and the people who turned up are, meow, mascara woman, zac, lilian(not bunny) and june. basically the barbie collector's gang. what we usually do mainly is to talk about expensive dolls and bitch about other collectors from overseas and about a certain local barbie dealer. oh, and bitch about everything and anything in this world. a great bunch of people to hang out with...

shared the french fries with zac first while waiting for the others to arrive and had a pretty good sambal fish main course. looooovvvee the sambal.... as usual. gave meow her present and she seemed to like it! thank god! was so worried that she might not like it but she really loved the small coach bag keychain. which i really wanted to keep for myself cause i think its the cutest thing on earth. anyway, zac n i ordered an ice cream cake with the manager but when the cake came with 3 big candles and 2 small ones, i vaguely remembered someone plucking out of the big candles and we were singing the birthday song to 2 big, 2 small candles. hmmm..

ate the cake happily and chatted for a rather long time before we decided to make a move to wheelock. when the bill came, i noticed that they did not charge us for the cake, so when we got back the credit card, we quickly walked out of there and checked the receipt one more time. and true enough, we were not charged for it! wooo hoo!! $29 le! saved some dosh there.........

walked to wheelock, saw the ipod shuffle again and i am trying so hard not to get it. now what ah zai said about it makes sense. its more like a flash drive that can play music rather than an mp3 player that can store files as well. i think its quite useful in that sense cause i have been thinking of getting a usb drive as well. aaaaaaaahhh!! control!!!

drew (bunny's lover) bribed me with ee-yer's msn nick the other day so that i can help him win this particular auction on ebay... hahahahaha......

A frantic and extremely apologetic bunny called me today to tell me that she broke one of my toys accidently. She was so upset that she broke it that she could not stop apologizing…. And I had to ask her which toy she broke after hearing her say sorry like a million times. Anyway, its my Stitch’s bobble head which is actually quite fragile but I don’t have any feelings for that toy anymore cause it was given to me as a gift and I wanted to throw it out of my window.. sometime last year around this time anyway. I see it as something symbolic as well. And only people close to me know what I am talking about. Had to assure bunny that I was not angry at all…. By the way! I have something for you bunny! Meet up sometime next week k? I have the whole Chinese New Year week off except Monday.

Planning a surprise birthday lunch for meow tomorrow at Swensen’s Crown Prince with some of our Barbie friends. So wanted to tear my hair out when she told me that she had to run off halfway through our lunch to go for her extremely important eyebrow threading appointment that she had booked 2 weeks ago. I was thinking in my head, “Ah! Of all days you must go for a threading session! Somemore its your surprise birthday lunch!” Haiyah, what to do. I have been so backfire this week. Hopefully she will be able to change her appointment to an earlier slot so that we will be able to enjoy our lunch properly…

Slept at 4am 2 nights ago cause I suddenly had inspiration to do something to my room after chatting with ah zai online. So went to work feeling a little grumpy in the morning. Was fine after drinking my usual tea with milk. First thing in the morning, someone from Singapore Power called me. I was thinking, “Singapore Power?? Why?” So I answered the call and the guy goes, “Is that MRS Denise?”

Wah piang eh. 3!#R!$e14@&%IU$%*$!!

So I scolded him and found out that somehow my name is in their system and he called cause my company had an outstanding amount of $400+ and they wanted to settle it. I screamed at him that I am MISS Denise and not Mrs, and that this was not my company and to remove my name from their system IMMEDIATELY. And he was asking for our accountant and again I had to explain that I-am-not-the-secretary-nor-the-accountant-story to him and to look for my boss for anything related to payment. Or outstanding payments that is.

And before he hung up, he still reminded me to pay the outstanding amount. !!!
Today was super backfire for me. Went for lunch, told all the stall vendors whom I ordered food from the wrong table no (said it was table 25 but actually it was 24), then my prawn noodle took a little longer to arrive. When my noodles finally arrived, before I could start eating, I dropped the spoon onto the floor! Then on the way back to office, I dropped my bag on the pavement for no reason! It just slipped out of my hand! Bloody hell………

looooooonggg entry..

the whole world has been asking me to update my blog.. haha.. actually not the whole world lar, but everyone who reads my blog are dying to get an update... wahahhaha...

first of all, i have been really busy since my last entry, hence why i have not blogged for so long. have either been busy at the gym (which i only go twice a week nowadays actually so i have been really lazy), or busy selling my barang barang online or busy watching movies. caught quite a few movies lately...

alfie - with bunny. hilarious but a really emotional film. i could actually feel my heart wrenching at some parts of the movie and i really felt for alfie's best friend's gf. gosh.. i can't imagine that happening to anyone. the feelings that character went through was pure shit man....

finding neverland / friday - excellent show! caught it with iad gang, cj, pat, liting, jacq and zaihan. was supposed to meet up then to watch "guiness comedy night" with kumar and hossan leong but we found out that tickets were sold out on the day itself! miffy, zaihan, jacq and i were shocked and a little disappointed (or at least i was!) at that but we decided to meet anyway. miffy decided to go home to get dinner first and meet us later, but after our dinner, she said she didnt want to watch "finding neverland", though i tried to convince her that it's a good show, but the stubborn miffy kept saying no.

anyway, after our cheapo dinner at marina square's foodcourt, we bought tickets for our show and jacq brought us to esplanade to see the free hip-hop performance at the open air amphitheatre. lets just say it was free for a reason. so we escaped and walked back to marina to catch johnny depp and kate winslet. i really loved their english accent and how polite they were. guess the best days were the good old days.

the excitment came only after i hopped onto the bus to get home.. liting called me to ask if i had seen dead fish's car keys..... i was like... "har???" she then explained that dead fish lost his car keys and could not find them. anyway, he only found it after a long frantic search around the whole marina square. the keys were in the door key hole. but he didnt know if he left it there or he dropped it and someone put it back there. thank god no one drove off with his parent's car! phew!

shall we dance / saturday - also with bunny. had a subway sandwich for lunch before watching the movie at cineleisure. i couldn't take my eyes off lopez's infamous butt and i kept whispering to bunny, "oh my god! her butt so big!!" but i later concluded that actually her butt is not that big... i think her 3 inches heels pushed her butt to higher levels and hence, the humgonous butt. pretty cute movie though.

did a little window shopping before heading to ngee ann city to catch the jam x finals, to cheer stentorian on.. stentorian happens to be bunny's lover's band. their band consists of : -

sings well and also quite cute. very charismatic and manages to get the crowd moving and roaring. or maybe the crowd happens to be all their friends who are cheering them on. he shoved a panasonic lumix digital cam to me and requested that i take like, 200 photos of their band performing. you just can't say no to such a charismatic guy. aww... hahahaha......

the 3rd not bad looking one in the group but apparently from what i heard, has no taste in women. hahaha! was spotted wearing a white stentorian t shirt with baby pink bands around the sleeves. also was the one who suggested the group gets uniforms and that their shirts should be pink..... and......... wanted the tag line "tighter than tight" printed at the back of their shirts! good lord.... sounds like a tagline to a porn site lor....

plants himself in between iylia and hunky bunky on stage and occassionally spotted singing. tried to get some shots of him n sam but he moved too much. now i know how bunny feels when she takes photos of me...

was wonderfully camoflauged by his humongous drums the whole time and the only photo i got of him was just a few strands of his hair and the drum set. wailed to bunny that i could not get a shot of him no matter where i stood and found out that she had the same dilemma.

ah zai was supposed to get to taka by 6pm but only arrived at 8pm when i told him that stentorian's set was at 8. opps.... he nearly missed them and got there just in time and commented, "wow! they are good!" and snapped some shots of the band. dragged him to the front and we were happily enjoying the gig when suddenly, three-quarters into their "fancy girl" song, the host came on stage to say that the judges are letting them sing again because the sound system was very very bad. gosh, what took them so long to realise. anyway, i didnt mind as i could watch them again.... heh heh... i have to say that iylia is really good with the crowd and very spontaneous on stage...

bunny had to do something a little bimbotic after their set in front of ah zai but never mind, better not say. she also said something cute but bimbotic before i went to taka. something about her necklace dropping down....... :D

stentorian didnt win for the night though and i was really shocked. they came in fourth but won "best original song" award. stentorian........ you totally totally rock!
