i have also forgotten to blog abt the 2 new phrases that my bosses said to us the other day..... which deeply traumatised all of us........ it started out with our female Lao Ban (let's give her a code name of Woodstock, ok?) calling Biawak over to her table to discuss about a project. Suddenly, she says,

"Pain, comes with pleasure.......... they always, go hand in hand...."

"???! Excuse me.... can you please repeat that??"

And she happily repeated it.... In shock, he announced it over msn to us. Shortly after, our male Lao ban (let's call him, Snoopy k?) called all of us over for a short meeting. He was bitching about a new collegue who came and went in a period of 2 days. Giving quite lame excuses for leaving. Anyway, the point is, he suddenly said,

"It's like...... if you are sleeping around, you don't go around telling everyone that you are sleeping around what!! You tell each person that you are sleeping around with, that they are "exclusive" to you right??"

"????!!!! Hhhuuhhhhh??!!"

Dunno what caused both of them to sprout such horny quotes to us that same day.... but it sure traumatised us quite a lot!!

Mount Emily - Wild Rocket

A new hangout that the longan gang went to the week before, pictures are late in coming up, but have been busy and lazy as well.... It is a nice little budget hotel tucked in the wilderness of Mount Sophia, Mount Emily area. A place where no one should attempt to walk in from the main road (especially at night!!) and even by car, i feel it is rather easy to get lost there.

There was a new showflat just right next to this budget hotel and being the kaypo designers most of us were, we went to the glass doors and tried to peek at the design. Oh, parking INSIDE the building is amazing. There are only a grand total of 7 parking lots in that compound and i decided to park my big fat car outside instead. I figured no sane traffic police woman/man would go all the way there to summon me...

Wild rocket is the cafe in the budget hotel and it is a great place to wine and dine. The main course looks pretty ex for me and anyway, i would rather pay for nice desserts than expensive ala cartes. Nice place to hang out with friends and catch up over pretty desserts!

Err...i think this is Mr Sarcastic's mocha or latte or something like that. Shush and i had to stop him drinking it while he was holding it midway to his mouth to take this photo!

Left - Some chocolate thingy where the warm chocolate ozzes out when u stab your spoon into it.... ooohhh....

Right - Tiramisu thing. I have never really been a great fan of tiramisu, but this was very nice!

No, this is not a close up of the above chocolate cake thingy. We ordered the other one on the menu. In fact, we ordered all the desserts on the menu!! All 6 of them!!

This was really interesting. It had a Malay name to it but i cant remember as usual. It is basically a pandan flavoured pudding. Very soft tofu texture to it. Melts in your mouth too.... Too much pandan for my liking so i left it to the rest to devour what was left of it..

Err.... another chocolate cake thing!

This is my personal favourite. It is actually some walnut with cheesecake. but it's served on a wine glass instead of a plate..... chomp chomp... comfort food!!

Just came back from catching Pirates of the Carribean..... we got free passes from a furniture supplier!! And we received a nice looking cake/kueh/rice/chicken hamper from another supplier as well..... Who can resist such freebies?!! Wooohooo.... Guess there are some people out there who really do appreciate people in our line...... :P

It was a pretty long movie (2.5 hours long) and all of us dashed to the washrooms immediately after the movie........ especially Don who totally disappeared out of sight because he apparently went to the toilet seperately...... Smart. Anyway, back to the movie. My savvy Captain Jack Sparrow was so suave and cool as usual in the show and i pulled 3d Goddess' shawl after the movie,

"WAaaaaaaa........ She got to kiss Johnny Depp!! Im so sad!!"

And i thought the part where the mooshy looking monsters were tearing out Mr-backfire-king-in-the-pirates-show-Orlando's shirt on the ship, looked so......... weird! I quickly whispered to 3d Goddess,

"Wah lau, they look like they are going to rape him lor!!"

And the whole show is about rolling balls and wheels around the whole place. Pretty ingenious i must say. And somehow or other, i am super turned off about eating squids/sotong and especially calamari now after watching this movie. Bleh!

Why do cats always look so contented and dead to the rest of the world whenever they are sleeping?? It's so unfair........ Boohooo.....

This cat didnt even want to entertain me despite me meowing and cajoing him to get up. Darn.

This one, world best. Was having Kolo Mee at Killiney Road with mum and depressed brother (because of his braces) and i was truly amazed at how this cat managed to sleep through all the loud noises from the heavy traffic of both vehicles and humans.

So darn cute can.

Just came back from exploring new grounds with the Longan Gang earlier. The same group - 3D Goddess, the tree, my fellow squirrel and the resident monitor lizard were at the PS cafe at Dempsey road on Friday night and we went to Hang out @ Mount Emily this evening. Pretty eventful and took quite a lot of pics (job hazzard pics though!) but will upload tomorrow! Sleepy........ zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Finally decided to change my blog template to something more simple and have easier to read fonts..... my eyesight is bad enough, so i decided not to traumatise my readers' eyes either..... anyway i was sick of seeing my face everyti me i open my blog...... Lol!

I just drank my TCM medicine and i nearly burned down the kitchen boiling it, while chatting on the phone with Ah Zai....... My mum was screaming that i better not cook/bake while she is away because she dont know what i will do to the kitchen!! Wuhahahaaa.... The medicine was horrible ( as expected) and i had to force every drop down my throat...... dun waste dun waste......

My poor brother put in the metal braces onto his teeth today ( minus the wire) and he has some tooth seperators too......... I dunno why, but i have this impression that tooth seperators act something like my toe seperators that i use when i paint my toe nails. If they are for the same function, then that's painful! He looks like he is in quite a lot of agony and im not used to seeing him eat so little..... He had to dip his rice and meat into the soup in order to swallow it down..... And he is wondering how i managed to eat a McChicken on the first day of wearing my braces. I think i was too much of a fast food junkie when i was younger and nothing could stop me or get into my way of having my twice/thrice weekly ( or more!) dosage of fast food! Wuhahhahaa...... of course that is also probably affecting my health now.

The TCM must be working well as i am feeling sleepy already and i better go sleep now!! zzzzzzzzz..... no more sleepless nights..... i hope! :)

Dragged my ass down to see a TCM @ Golden Mile area this evening as 3D Goddess said that my dark eye rings might be caused by an internal organ or something in my body not functioning well, which in turn leads to my dark eye rings not getting any better regardless of me applying 2 gallons of eye cream day and night. This TCM was reccommended by Tiffy who said that her collegue went down to see him about her dark rings and after a while, its gone! So with this encouragement in mind, i went down to see him today. And dragged 3D Goddess along as well to be my Chinese - English translator. In case i translate what the uncle say wrongly..... like the liver, i think he is talking about my lungs. or i think that the stomach is the heart or something like that.

We got there at 730pm only to realise that the uncle will only be back at 8pm. So we went to the big food centre nearby and had nice prawn mee for our dinner. While i was busy stuffing myself with the nice prawn mee, Mr Sarcastic called me to say that Gaz and him will be coming down to meet us.

"Eh....... We will be coming down now to eat..... you better stay and accompany us while we eat ah! I dun care!!"

On the way back to the TCM, i saw this cat with lots of black, brown and god knows what other colour patches on its body. I call it the "dirty cat" look. So i told 3D Goddess,

"Oh, so cute the cat..... It looks very dirty... and i call it the dirty cat type. But i like this type of cats, because i think they have character!"

"Oh, like that, if we don't bathe, we also will have character, right??"

Anyway, back to the TCM. Uncle says that my qi is no good and my liver indeed isnt functioning well because of that. And because of that, i cannot sleep well or fall asleep at night. Hence my dark eye circles......... So he prescribed some stuff for me and i have to boil them tomorrow! And since 3D Goddess was there to help me with any translation, i cajoled her to have a consultation as well!

While waiting for the even older uncle to prepare all the herbs onto the fluroescent pink paper wrap, we both watched him intently as he poured all the strange looking stuff onto it. One of them looked like a part of plaster board, while the dang gui looked like a super flattened sotong. And this particular flowers looked quite furry for some reason. I kept telling her that i will be super traumatised if they put a dried seahorse into my concoction or something.

Anyway, by the time we were done, Mr Sarcastic and Gaz were also done eating their TuLang or something like that. The sheep's bone marrow or something. They were posing along these planters while Gaz was smoking and from far away i did not recognise them because i thought they looked too poser to be my friends. I proudly announced to Mr Sarcastic that he will be the resident monitor lizard in the family of tree (Ah Zai), squirrels (Shush and me) and flowers (Don & 3D Goddess). He didnt seem too pleased with the en-knightment of that title, but looked happier when i told him that they have these "Careful.... Monitor lizard crossing" signs in Sentosa. He said that he didnt know he was so respected there.

And...... he very cleverily squished my kaya toast bread till it was out of shape when i asked him to pass me something in a plastic bag on my table. (i was downstairs in a cab in the morning. ) We have also concluded that he is quite a himbo. A true himbo while 3D Goddess and i are only pretend bimbos. Wuhahahhaa......

My little bro is going to get his teeth extracted out tomorrow!! So exciting!! Talking to him about my past experiences about my braces and teeth extracting days brought back fond memories in secondary school........ i remembered the time when i was wearing the bright yellow retainers with a spastic looking smiley face design on it.... the days when i had to remove the retainers in super un-glam manner and cover it up with a tissue so that it doesnt disgust others while i display it on the table...... the best time was when Bunny, Chinki and i were having out usual Macs lunch at Taka....... (Taka was like our hangout then man..... so high class) and i did the usual remove-the-yellow-retainer-and-cover-it-with-a-tissue action. But i totally forgot all about my retainers after our lunch and i only remembered about it when we have walked off somewhere pretty far away and i exclaimed loudly,

"ARrrgghhhh!! I left my retainers back at Macs!! Shhhiiitttt!!!"

And in our true dramatic cartoonish fashion, Chinki and i (I cant remember if Bunny ran back with us) rushed back to the Macs and Chinki seemed to be more eager to find my retainers (more than me!!) for some reason, and with the help of a kind auntie working at Macs, she rummaged through the dustbin and after Chinki threw out many McNuggets and Big Mac boxes and plenty of empty paper cups, she amazingly managed to find my retainers.......... still wrapped prettily in the white tissue.

I ask u........ where to find a friend like that anymore?? To dig through the dirty dustbins to find your retainers so that you can continue to have straight teeth!! Haiz.... no lor!! No more friends like these around lor! Hahahaa........ But im really thankful to Chinki who did that for me without even batting an eyelid... Thank you Chinki!! I owe my straight teeth to you!! (and my dentist of course)

Bosses are going to be in China for the whole week!! Woohoo!! Freedom!! And i have to get all my quotations sorted out by this week!! Aaahhhhhhhh.....
