oh my god. it has been super long since i updated!! ok ok.. been so busy with work, doing drawings non stop and once having to go in to the office earlier to draw because the dumb autocad file was not compatible at home for some reason. So irritating! Anyway, i know i have been looking somewhat ghastly the whole week because i feel really physically tired and my boss asked if i was alright! Had a really interesting chat with her the other day and i really do hope that she is not the scary crazy boss that many many people have made her out to be. Oh well, only time will tell. So far, she has been alright and i hope it stays that way! *crosses fingers*

She was also a little concerned with Mr Easy as he looks tired (both physically and emotionally) from work and i thought i was the only one who felt that way about him! Tried telling him to slow down his lifestyle and to take it easy because i do not wish to see him burned out. Anyway........ the latest gossip about my office is that Mr Easy and Miss Hungry seem to be going out!! Hahahaa! The whole week he has been messaging someone on his hp and i had to ask him if he was writing a book through SMS!! When i met up with Lady and her new friend, Chris at Mr Easy's night workplace, she saw him messaging Miss Hungry!! Who happens to be in Shanghai at the moment! Juicy juicy gossip! Well, at least some people seem to have a happening life... Heh.

24th September 2005 Saturday
Quidam was fantastic!!

Woke up feeling extremely groggy at 9am and going back to sleep till 12pm... met up for lunch with Mum and bro, then it was off to collect my new contact lens! It has been so long since i wore contacts and i found it hard to adjust to it in the first hour! Shortly, my cousin calls to say that he had 2 pairs of free tickets to see Harry Potter movie at the Padang.... Thought of asking Ah Zai to come along, but we couldnt get 2 more persons to go! Everyone seem to have some exciting plan already for some reason (another reason to make me feel so no-life once again) so i decided to just pass the tickets to Lady.

Met up with Ah Zai for Quidam (bought off the tickets from Bunny because she couldnt make it) and because we were 5 mins late, we had to watch the beginning on this lousy Sony Flat screen TV outside for a few mins before we were allowed in! I just cannot explain how beautiful the whole performance was. The cheapest seats were surprisingly great (except that there was an irritating tall pillar in front of us, but it was ok because i could still see everything) and the lighting effect was really wonderful! My favourites has got to be those people "flying" out from the top!! The clowns were really really funny and the people that they dragged up from the audience were really sporty and did every possible embarrasing stunt that the clown commanded them to! (Maybe the clowns are also very smart in choosing the sporty people) There was one scene where he made the guy pretend to kiss the other girl passionately, and they were so good that they were still at "it" when the clown was not looking! Ah Zai and i couldnt stop laughing for that whole act........ i think i laughed till i had a slight sore throat.

After the performance, we walked over to Bugis Mos Burger to grab our dinner where we saw Kelv and his gf.... His gf still looks as pretty as ever except that she looked really tanned so i thought that he was with another girl! HAhaha... Lady came by with her friend, LC (ok la, i think her real name is Elsie or something) and i had to control myself from bursting out laughing when i heard her name! Ah Zai and i then walked around Bugis and i had to buy something in almost every shop that i walked into. Been wanting to buy a pair of slippers from Barcode for some time now but i saw this other funky slipper there and Ah Zai said that it looks quite nice! So i decided to go to Muji first before deciding on that purchase.

Once at Muji, i had a sudden inspiration on how to revamp my room. I told Ah Zai that i wanted to rip apart my side cabinets under my window and leave only the table ledge, and i will buy all the beautiful Muji frosted drawers with castors and put them below the table ledge! He said that i was very rich to do that. He picked up this really nice looking glass canistor (or flask, whatever u want to call it) and was wondering if he should buy it for his home. The design of the flask was that it is more or less a cylindrical shape but the neck is smaller in diameter. But when i held the flask, i said that it might be heavy when it is filled with water and its not so practical if he wants to put his boiled water inside. So he scolded me, "Please lor! You are supposed to grab the slimmest part!"

I looked down at his 24-and-a-half-inch waistline and said, "Ok!" and pretended to grab his waist! He looked so traumatised that i was going to molest him and i couldnt stop laughing at his traumatised face!! I bought 2 photo albums from there and then proceeded on to get my slippers from Barcode! Spend more money............. Wwwoooo.......

The zip of my key pouch happened to pecha (spoil) last night when i violently tried to zip it after i got home.... so i saw a nice suitable one at Project shop but i couldnt buy it because the stupid staff at Bugis disappeared! We waited quite long for them to appear while we strolled around and after he tried on 2 shirts, they were still no where to be found! So he suggested walking down to City Hall's branch to get it where he can take the train home as well. (So clever) But to my dismay, that certain size (or rather the key pouch size) was sold out in the red colour that i liked!!! Aaaarrrgghhhhhhh!!!!!!! I was so sad and we 2 decided to head home at 930pm.... super early for both of us on a Saturday! So no life!! Hahahaa...

I am getting a headache again and my body feels so warm. I have a feeling something is................... coming...... Bleargh.

16th September 2005 Friday
Unlucky Friday!

What a week it has been for me. A series of unfortunate mishaps for the whole week (ok la, just a few things that happened in a few days) and just feeling pretty Suay...... And to think that i was just mentioning to Bunny the other day in Borders to set up a blog for the 3 of us (Me, chinki and herself) for us to blog out our misfortunate events in our mundane lives and i kept bugging her to come up with a good blog title. Because the only one that i could come up with was, "Mishaps of the 3 Bunnies". She totally refused to use that and said that anything else would be better than that! But she still has not come back to me about the title. Quick! I need to blog about my mishaps! Hahahhaa!

Well, let's start off with Friday. Went to site with Lao Ban and on the way back from site, she decided to drop by the Cold Storage Jelita to grab some mouth tasting cookies (she say one. i didnt get to try it though) and from there, i got a packet of Ribena. Once we reached our office, i decided to cap my Ribena (it was capped real tightly ok!) and put it in my bag since it was a short distance from the car to upstairs. And in my bag, i had my digi cam, notebook and my usual barangs. However, this bag's attachment by the sides werent designed to hold such a heavy load so it gave way! And down came my bag, ribena and everything else! The cap of the Ribena didnt pop out, but some of it spilled out (somehow!) and soaked my handphone, ipod sock (only, thank god!), and the sides of my notebook. After my bag dropped, i just casually picked it up grumbled about my spoilt bag (because i didnt know that everything inside was being drowned in Ribena at that moment) and when i reached office, i wailed to Mr Easy that my bag was spoilt!

I asked him if there was anything to salvage the spoilt attachment and he picked up some cable (honestly dunno where he got it from! must be from the floor or something) and tied it to my bag. But the cable was orange in colour and it didnt match with my green and white bag so i asked if there were any other colours for the cable. He said he wanted to kill me for that request. Anyway, after i pulled out my phone and placed it on the table, it was only then that i realised my phone had switched off by itself and was soaked with Ribena! So i had to quickly remove the battery and sim card and tried to dry them. After a while, i put them back but the screen started to flicker like some old Tv! Super sad case lor. Was so depressed for the rest of the day.

I wailed to Ah Zai as well and told him to call me on my office phone only. There, i also tried to enquire around where i could buy a Holga Lomo. After going through all the contacts that the lomo society woman passed to me, it seemed that only Taka's Kino and Objectives had it! So once again i had to bug Ah Zai to help me get the only piece in Taka's Kino (he was in town anyway) just in case it was sold out by the time i got down to town after work! So i told him to meet me at Peninsula to buy my special film after i found out that the photo shop closes at 730pm. But by the time both of us got there at 730, it was closed! Super irritating lor! Backfire again!!

Luckily i managed to get 2 rolls of medium format film from the Aldephi opposite and i was slightly happier. Took a bus to Park Mall (now mispronounced as Pork Mall by Ah Zai, haha!) to meet Gaz but we decided to go to Hans to grab our dinner first. The strawberry smoothie was terrible and i only had 2 sips of it. Until Gaz appeared. He apparently like it, so i passed it to him and i ordered tea instead! Whahahaa... 3 of us had grilled fish which i think is one of the best from their menu........ There i wanted to load the film into my Holga, but according to the instructions, it said, "Please load your film in subdued lighting only." So obviously i could not do so in the fluorescent lit Hans. Went to Olio upstairs to have a drink and i managed to load the film there. But my flash was not working! So irritating..... So i took some pictures and finished my roll really quickly (only 12 shots in one roll ok) without my colour flash. Sad case again.

17th September 2005 Saturday
Mooncakes and burnt lanterns galore

Woke up with an extremely painful right eye and found out that i had a really bad infection in my right lower eyelid. Was contemplating going to the doctor's before i go off to play badminton with my ex-collegues, but i remembered that i had to wear the eye patch for a few hours so that was a no-no before playing badminton. Met up with Miss Hungry and Lady who were waiting for me at the pet shop near Stardus (the place where we booked the courts) and i tried to tell a very groggy sounding Mr Easy where the place was. He sounded really different on the phone. Must be the morning voice. Rented one racket from the info counter for $2 and the racket turned out to be surprisingly light and good! I had 4 rackets but one of the racket's handle was really dirty! As in, the tape had gotten all black and sticky and i didnt know it until Lady's right hand turned black! Miss Hungry had never played badminton before so i taught her how to serve properly. I explained to her how to do the serve correctly and before i could finish teaching her how to hit the shuttlecock, she wanted to start playing and hopped off to the other side of the court! Wah......... some people so confident hor! Hahahhaa.....

Anyway, she managed to catch it really fast and she was playing really well for a first timer! I was so proud to be her "lao si" except for the times when she started serving the shuttlecock to the other court......... That was when i told her that she returned back everything she learnt from her teacher...........

While playing halfway, Mr Easy turned up and all of us forgot to tell him that racket was dirty and he used it for the entire 2 hour game! He didnt wear any sports shoes and played barefooted. So his right hand and feet were....... dirty. Ewwww....... After the game, the 4 of us sat outside the courts and chatted about our offfice and the new admin girl. Which i will refrain from talking about here. Ugh. We then decided to go back to my place to shower and had a really late lunch at Zion Road. Lady and I were really excited to eat the delicious prawn mee from there, but the uncle didnt open till 6pm! (It was 4pm already.) But we still ate some prawn mee from another stall which was not too bad actually. We chatted till almost 6 plus where i had to go off to Chinatown to buy my lanterns for that night. Went to one shop by the main road, but they only had 2 of those cellopane paper lanterns left so i had to walk through the other side of Chinatown and managed to find a shop selling many of the cellopane paper designs! There was a really huge dragon lantern (a much bigger version of Ah Zai's lantern last year) and the uncle sold it to me for only $5 because of a small tear at the bottom which was not really noticeable! Bought a Pegasus lantern for Gaz, a squirrel for myself, a bird and a goldfish design for Ah Bin and bf as well. The huge dragon lantern was so big that i had to sling it by my shoulders like a handbag!

My mum then dropped me off at Botanical Gardens where i joined the rest of the gang for our lantern party. It was my very first time at Symphony Lake and it was really quite nice! Felt so suakoo can. So old already never come to such a beautiful part of the Botanical Gardens. Anyway, i tried to light up some of the cheap paper lanterns that we had placed at the outskirts of our mats but i burned down at least 3 of them!! Everyone begged me to stop so i had to. Had a feast of mooncakes and some warm chinese tea while Ah Bin and bf brought along a bottle of wine! After a while, Miffy tried to light up Susie's lantern (it was the same squirrel design lantern as mine) but she burned it down instead! So poor Susie had to take the extra huge dragon for our lantern walk instead...... Seems like it has become a tradition for one lantern to be burned down every year......

We had a lantern walkthrough some part of Botanical Garden (dun ask me which part because i was just following the leader) and Don, Susie and I had to keep relighting our lanterns because of the aerodynamic design of our cellopane paper design lanterns! We were super busy screaming every time our candle went out and lighting it and replacing with new candles. While the rest happily walked into the darkness. After the exciting walk, we packed up and went off to Lau Pa Sat to have our late dinner. Apparently, mooncakes only fill u up temporarily. After a while, your stomach craves for normal food.

While waiting for Ah Zai (he was talking to his group of friends) at the entrance of the Visitor Centre, the strap of my Holga gave way and it dropped onto the road!! I was hysterical and i thought my $127.05 Lomo was dead on its 2nd day. But it turned out that it knocked well and my colour flash managed to work after that!! Such is the beauty of lomos........... Wahahahaha....... So i started on my colour splash spree........... When we reached Lau Pa Sat, my eye infection got a little worse and i felt really really sleepy. must be from the badminton earlier as well. Ah Zai on the other hand, got a really bad and painful sore throat (from the mooncakes and drinking Evian! apparently a deadly combination for a sore throat!) so we retired home at midnight.... one of our earliest for the Longan Gang. Susie had to order a Longan drink for effect somemore.

18th September 2005 Sunday
Eye Infection and Mummy's Birthday!

My right eye was super super painful when i woke up and i had to drag myself to the doctor after our lunch and a short trip to the temple. The doctor thought that i looked at naked men thats why i got my infection. He was a super sadist for such cases and said that my eye infection was bad but not the worst that he has seen! Gross!! He had to take a needle to poke the pus out and kept saying that it was super juicy with lots and lots of pus!!! He even called the nurse over to check it out! Apparently i had 2 infections, one at the corner of my eye and one at the bottom eyelid. The one at the bottom eyelid was much bigger and had more pus so he removed that one instead as the corner one would subside by itself. In all, the mini eye surgery/operation costs $56!!! Wah piangs. Just to go through such torture and pain...... Boohooohooooo....

Came home after that to rest my eye because i shocked so many people in Tiong Bahru with my white colour eye patch. The eye drop is really disgusting because it can travel down to your throat and you can actually taste the horrible eye drop!! Bleh......... Went for my Mum's birthday dinner at Swenson's at Bugis and saw some thing really interesting near the moon while on the way to Great World to get her birthday cake. I shall sign off with the cool photos........... Mr brother thinks that its because Chang-Er is flying around the moon.........

Monday, September 12, 2005

Have been going through different kinds of emotions these past few days. From sad, to happy to super excited to depression again. Confirm going to PMS soon!!!! Or maybe it is just a sign that my life is going to change. Soon. Or not.

Work has been tiring, working longer hours than usual, missing all my favourite Combat classes for the whole week and couldnt even make it for any class today... so sad. Though tiring, i feel like i have achieved something. I guess i have been lacking that feeling for the past 3 years and it feels good now. But sad that 2 of my collegues that i got close to recently have left, but i guess it is for the best for the company as well. Sian that i have a new admin person, who talks to herself (rather loudly too!) which gets on your nerves sometimes when you are trying to concentrate. Happy when you have a collegue to irritate you (in a funny way, but it gets a little too much sometimes as well...) when you are stressed at work. But i do get a little agitated when someone keeps bothering me about some repeated questions or when they just barge into your conversation with someone else.

But all in all, it has been fun. Life is about mixing the positives and negatives and making it right in life. Its about balance and finding it. Appreciating people around you and not taking them for granted. And i am starting to wonder why i started this entry in the first place. But then again, that is the beauty of blogging. : )

This is a little off topic........... but I wanna get the Lomo Fish eye lens!!! it looks pretty cool and i am a new Lomo fan! Hahahaa... a bit late into the craze but never mind lar. For the fun of it all.... :) Off to bed and sweet dreams....... (although i dreamt of going to my job site last night. Can die or not!??!)

10th Sept 2005 Saturday
Heineken Greenspace Competition

Met with Susie at 9am at Ann Siang Hill to be kiasu and grab the limited numbers of Lomo cameras loaned out for the competition. Was feeling really groggy and half awake when i got there so i was a little quiet when i first met him. One of his classmates, Kelvin took part as well and we had to stand around The Asylum (the name of the place where they held the holding area lar!) waiting for them to start giving out the cameras. Poor Ah Zai couldnt wake up on time to get there by 9am (thanks to both of us yakking on the phone till early in the morning) so he decided not to take part in the end because the loaned out lomos seemed to be running low in quantity...

I got a bit hungry so i dragged both Susie and Kelv to Maxwell to have my teh si from my favourite teh si store and some bee hoon. Need some energy to run around you know. There, Kelv started bitching to me about Susie being such a naggy and bitchy person in class and we exchanged pointers on how to tackle his bitchy-ness. I told him "not-to-give-Susie-face" and just bitch him back........ Hahahhahaa...... He saw how i scolded Susie when he stepped on my foot (which was resting on the table leg), and he couldnt stop laughing.....

After my hearty breakfast, we walked back to The Asylum to get our clue sheets and it was off for the Amazing Race style shoot! Ok la, not really... but had to run around Chinatown in the hot sun for the next 4 hours lor..... Decided to split up from Susie and Kelv and i ran around on my own..... My photos next!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This first shot seems quite interesting but unfortunately it was not taken by me! Hahhaa... I had to con one of the lomo organizers to help me load the film because it has been ages since i loaded film into cameras!!! So she tested it with this first shot together with the colour splash.

Duxton Hill. The clue was to shoot the cobblestones...

Could not resist taking this cat!! He was just lying peacefully on the ground and Susie was super tempted to cat-nap him!! This cat was also the super star for the day because apparently quite a lot of people took photos of it too... :)

First try with the Blue colour splash on the grey wall.

Next, red splash against the clear glass. Quite an errie effect.... And i thought the first mannequin looks quite scary! The hand anyway.

Realised i shot the wrong Tong Ah (didnt follow the clues obviously, haha!) but it was fun creeping up the stairs next to the coffeeshop to take this shot from the window!

Hehehehehe..

Susie commented that all my photos look very architectural! Which is bloody true because i rarely took any photos of people! Im so un-feeling.........

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

As u can tell my flash couldnt seem to work after a while.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Supposed to take a shot of the rainbow flag for BackStage. I think the flag turned out too dark so cannot see. So sad.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I really felt pai seh to take photos of the people selling Teochew Porriage, so i just clicked on the Lomo as i walked past the store! Im surprised that something came into the photo.... hahhaa

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I tried to play around with the flash. I covered half of the flash (the outer part of the flash) to see if there will be any special effect...... Seems like it.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Nice staircase!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I dunno if this was my finger getting in the way or i purposely covered half the flash again.....

Going mad taking photos of authentic tiles!!

One of the clues was to find "something Raw" at Ann Siang. I chanced upon it...... Hahhaa.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This has got to be one of my favourites. Played around by changing it from the Day mode to Night mode to see if there was any difference. Effect would be the white dreamy look........ and could also be due to the fact that my hands were not steady lar. Heh.

As you can see, i exhausted many "unwanted" shots that were totally not relevant to the clues. Thats why i didnt take any photos of Heineken (part of the criteria i think) because i finished taking 36 photos so quickly. And i ended up being the first one to submit her photos as well. Hahhaa!

Took this in the middle of the road. Had to dash to the curb immediately after shooting this.....

Had to take 5 elements of Far East Square........

After running around from 10 to 1230pm, i hopped into a cab and back home. Nua-ed at home till 5pm and decided to go for a Boyanese massage! Felt really oily after that (she applied oil onto my hair too!) and i had to wipe away some oil from my hands after that with a tissue. I think i must have looked really shiny when i first stepped out of the place. hahaha.. Met Ah Zai in town first where he bought some good eye drops for himself and i conveniently used some as well. He was complaining that his eyes were blood shot but after putting those eye drops, it was fine!

He really wanted to window shop so we walked around Hereen and off to Far East to have a Burger King dinner. Ah Zai was super irritated with the cashier boy because he mixed up the orders totally! First of all, he gave me shrimps instead of chicken for my salad. So Ah Zai had to walk back to get it changed. Then he forgot to give him his fries! So he had to go back a second time! Ah Zai was super bitchy after that and he commented that the cashier boy must have just broken up with his girlfriend or something to get so distracted.

While having my chicken salad dinner, Mr Easy messaged me that he would be working at his usual pub tonight. So i went down with Susie and Ah Zai after our Lomo party.... Anyway, the lomo party was at Clarke Quay and they were showing a slide show of some selected photos (i think lar, i dun think they showed all.....) and all 3 of our photos were shown! And the highlight of the party would be that Susie got 2nd prize!!! I told him that he wasnt so CMI after all.... HAhaha.....

After the party, we walked over to Robertson Quay and Susie was super excited to use his new LomoColoursplash (his prize lar) so he walked over to 7-11 to get some film while i got some roast duck rice for Mr Easy who complained that he didnt have any dinner yet. When we got there, Susie started to hound everyone to take photos while Mr Easy poured some orange juice for us. Played pool till Gaz arrived and even Miss Hungry came down! After losing a game of pool to Miss Hungry, Ah Zai, Susie and Gaz left at 1130pm to go clubbing.... The 3 of us stayed on till 12am and we walked out to Mohammed Sultan before we decided to go back to the pub to hang out! Miss Hungry was supposed to go to some pub in Ann Siang Hill for some farewell party..... to a couple that she didnt even know. But she didnt go for it in the end, so the 3 of us were playing a new version of "bluff" that i didnt even know exist!

Mr Easy tried to teach us the dice version of bluff but instead of both of us catching the rules of the game, we were more impressed with the way he shuffled the dice by pulling the cup over the dice and away from the table in a horizontal manner, and back to the table without the dice falling out!! Miss Hungry and I were bugging him to teach us how to do that instead and it was actually super easy! I could not catch the game at all (although he said that its the same as the card version) so i stoned while the 2 of them were playing. Went back at 2am to snooze.

I still dont know what to get for my mum's birthday pressie!!! Any suggestions??

Saturday 3rd September 2005
Outing with.......... the Apple Gang!!

We did not have our fun filled and jam packed Saturday as discussed. We did not go for any Sashimi buffet for lunch. We did not play badminton. Or go to Sentosa. We didnt go to Pasir Ris to climb the red scary spider web. None of these were accomplished at all. Instead, i met up with the usual Longan Gang (now turned into the Apple Gang because we just realised that each of us own an Apple product each) and the members are Gaz, Susie, Ah Zai and Don.

But first of all, i have to say that i was waiting so eagerly for my cheque to clear at 2pm that day, but when i checked my account at 2 plus, i was shocked to see that the amount did not go through! So i called the bank to enquire on what happened. They just said to check back with the addresser of the cheque or wait for my cheque to be returned to me. Feeling frustrated, my first thought was........ OMG! My company is undergoing cashflow problems??! So i initially wanted to call Lao Ban, then i decided against it and decided to check with Lady first. (Lady was the one who wrote the cheques.) No answer. So i called Miss Hungry.

"Oh, i guess it should be because there was an error in the writing of the cheque. Like, either the date or the amount. Dun panic! This happened to me 2 or 3 times before!"

"What?!!!"

Ok, so my company isnt going through any sort of cashflow problems. Just have a rather blur admin/accountant. Who is leaving soon anyway. I think i sounded very upset when i called Miss Hungry because she later called me back, and asked if she needed to transfer some money to me first! Because i was in charge of buying Mr Easy's birthday present. Of course i didnt want it.... I later went home to take a nap because of a sudden headache that came about after finding out that my cheque didnt clear. But my phone kept ringing or messages kept coming in so i kept getting up! I thought i had set my phone to silent mode, but obviously i must have pressed something wrongly so i kept waking up to the phone ringing whenever i was just about to fall asleep. So backfire lor.......

Lady was one of the those who called me and she was feeling very sheepish about the error on the cheque. She called me a second time as well to offer to transfer me some money first! So i joked with her that i wanted her to transfer the entire amount to my account, but she really believed me and wailed that she could only transfer $1,000 to me first..... Aiyoh, i then felt bad that she believed me... Kekekekekee......

Anyway, back to the Apple Gang's outing. Turns out that our poly lecturer, Perry's dad has passed away so we decided to go to the wake together. After having XO fish head beehoon dinner with my parents at Holland V, i picked Susie up from his school, then Gaz at Hotel Meridian Changi, then Ah Zai at his house. Susie was a bitch when i told him my plans on who i was going to pick up to get to Perry's house.

"Oh, Susie, i will pick u up from school then Gaz. As for Ah Zai, since he stays so near Perry's place.............."

and before i could complete my sentence, Susie commented, "Oh! Ya, since Ah Zai stays so near Perry's place, he can go there by himself!"

Waaaaaaaaaahh, damn bitch lor. Hahahaa........ Anyway, after i picked Susie and Gaz up, i needed to go to the toilet! So i had to drag everyone up to Ah Zai's house to use his house's toilet. They said that Ah Zai's house is a public toilet, since i seem to go to his house for that reason only. As i was leaving his place, he mumbled to his parents, something like i am the "toilet girl" or something like that. Oh dear.

Oh, and Susie said something in my car that made us all super convinced that he is straight! Hahahahahaa!!!!

Went to the wake from there and got lost in the middle of Sengkang. And it didnt help that my petrol tank was running super low!!! I was listening to 3 different people telling me directions on where to go and turn so i ended up super lost. Next time, i either listen to one person, so i can just blame that one person if we get lost, or just rely on the good old street directory. I was super frustrated and i couldnt get anyone to take over the driving (yes, i was that pek chek) and super worried about the "empty tank" sign flashing every few seconds. Managed to find it after a really long time and after many many right turns and U-turns. It's a U-Turn day!!!

Met up with some of our other Iad people there, and chatted with Perry for some time. Turns out that he changed his Trajet to the new version of the Trajet......... just like my wonderful family here. I thought my family was mad to do that already. He seems to remember every single person who has been to TP IAD and he even said he remembers Mr Easy! (who used to be in TP for a really short while before leaving for NS) We left after a while and got to a Shell petrol station and pump petrol into my poor dehydrated car. By then, it was time to pick Don up at Admiralty station, then off to Hotel Meridian Changi, which has also incidentally re-named, Changi Village hotel or something like that.

After fetching Don, for some reason, Gaz wanted Ah Zai to bring his laptop to the hotel room because there was free internet access and for hi-fi purposes. So i had to drop Ah Zai home once again and he sped up to his place and down in a few minutes while i was waiting by the main road. So scary lor...... Oh, and Gaz had a free room with a king size bed in Changi Village hotel because of some company thing. Turns out that none of his collegues wanted to stay over, so he invited us to go instead. I didnt want to stay over actually, but by the time we got back to the hotel room, it was 1.12am already!!! Had a shock of my life. Must have been all the u-turning i was doing for the whole night.

Don tried to share part of his guilt of Nasi Lemak with me and i relented by having a few mouthfuls. Actually i wasnt hungry lar and my stomach was churning for the whole night. Susie fell asleep on the bed after his Nasi Lemak while the rest of us continued our juicy gossip session........ This time, it was Don's turn to tell us about his secrets and by the time he finished, it was close to 4am i think, so everyone tried to sleep. Don was sleeping on the bay seaters near the window and Ah Zai and i (our heads anyway) shared one of the big cushions from the bay seater, lying on the nice carpeted floor. I was not very sleepy then but i tried to sleep anyway. but the air con was super cold!!! My feet were freezing and i really couldnt sleep at all..... and just when Ah Zai said he was about to fall into deep sleep, Gaz dropped his pillow onto the floor and there was weird crashing noise! So it woke both of us up and Ah Zai kindly put the pillow back on the bed for Gaz and threw me the blanket runners for my feet. I also had to steal Susie's grey colour Zara jacket (which also incidentally looks like my old grey Mango jacket) to hide from the coldness.

I think it took me really long to sleep and i got up at least 2 or 3 times to go to the toilet (but it was a false alarm) and to seek warmth in the toilet!! I really felt like a Penguin from the movie ok............... freezing like dunno what. By the 3rd toilet trip, i stupidly realised that i was sleeping in front of the air con's waves, so i shifted to a position near the bed and managed about 2 proper hours of sleep. I was contemplating leaving then, but i realised that Susie left his bag in my car! So i couldnt escape and had to stay in the freezing room......By 830am, i decided to escape once and for all from the freezing cold room and waited for both Susie and Ah Zai to pack up to leave. Susie and I shared a comforter by the bay seaters while waiting for Ah Zai to pack his laptop (which also was put to sleep while we were all asleep) and both of us were chattering away! even under the covers!!! It was that cold.

Once in the car, I wanted to steal one of Susie's Yakult that he had bought from Cheers earlier but he kept trying to get me to gargle my mouth with his mouthwash first. (this was after we got into the car and i was driving around the car park already can) And instead of me wanting to say, "You want me to gargle that now??!" I said, "You want me to gargle what shit?!" Dun ask me why i said that. Must have been high from the freezing temperature.

Was held up at the carpark exit because the driver in front of me had his cashcard jammed in the machine, so the manager/guard/dunno who was prying open the machine and after waiting for really long, it was my turn. So the guard took my cashcard and it seemed like he was forcing my cashcard into the already jammed slot and out came both my cashcard and one of those flimbsy paper like complimentry carpark ticket. And he said to me, "Thank you for your card!" So strange.......

I sped away after getting my cashcard back. Now off to bed again.........

March of the Penguins!! So darn cute!!!!

Decided to catch the "March of the Penguins" movie and call out the usual gang... In the end, only Susie, Ah Zai, Don and I turned up for the 915pm movie because Miss What wasn't feeling too well but she kindly picked up the tickets for us (she booked them) despite not feeling well. When Miss What called me earlier in the day to tell me that she was not feeling well, I suddenly didnt feel well too! While on the way to town, my stomach felt queasy and i had a weird "airy" headache (which are syptoms of a flu) and by the time i met Ah Zai and Susie at HMV, i felt terrible.... Didn't feel like eating dinner at all, but i shared a bit of Seafood fried rice with ah zai, who also didnt seem to want to eat. Susie on the other hand, also felt like vommitting after having his prawn noodles.... This "flu" virus is worse than i thought! It could be spread over the phone! Haha!

Don was late so we walked into the theatre almost 10 mins later and we walked in to the theatre, hearing the Emperor penguins speak............ French. Wah...... so posh. Anyway, the movie was really interesting, a documentry that was well shot and they gave a story to it, so it wasnt like watching a usual documentry on Discovery Channel. The voice overs were a little irritating at some points, but the worse was the singing!!!! Dunno why, but i felt like the singer was a little out of tune.... Susie and i kept laughing at the lyrics of a certain song.... and when i saw how clumsy the penguins were, i turned to Ah Zai and said, "Hey!! You know what! I think im a penguin!! Im as clumsy as them! See, they also fall down so easily..........."

He gave me a deadly stare and continued watching the movie, so i turned to Susie and said the same thing. He thought i was mad for saying that i was a penguin. A certain part of the movie was really sad, which was when they showed a lost penguin who was calling out to his/her fellow penguins and my heart and stomach turned 180 degrees when i saw it, because it was really heart wrenching. Ugh...

It was really entertaining although i felt very cold watching the movie, dunno is it because of all the ice in the movie or it was really cold in the theatre....... After the show, we 4 were standing at the junction facing the Hereen and Coffee Club and Ah Zai joked that we should huddle together like the penguins in the show! And seeing that i was the only girl, he told me to go find food! (like in the show, when the female penguins walk out to sea to replenish their energy.) But the sequence of the movie was that the penguins will mate first, then after the female passes the egg to the male, then they will go out to eat.

So i said, "But.... but........ I thought i was supposed to mate first? Before eating??"

Susie gave me a super disgusted look, "Pleaseeeeeeeeee lor! Who... who wants to mate with you!!"

I just peng san-ed on the floor while i was trying to speak my last sentence, "You forgot to say the next line........ Don't give yourself too much credit!" Both of us stood there laughing like mad people who just escaped from the asylum and the other 2 just simply stared at us. In the end, we decided to hang out at TCC near Centrepoint till it was time to board the last train home.

Farewell lunch and birthday celebrations for Mr Easy

Today was a mixture of emotions for our company...... My boss arranged a supposedly surprise farewell lunch for Lady and Miss Hungry at some steamboat restaurant at Tanglin Shopping Centre..... the 2 who are leaving were totally clueless about the lunch and they only knew about it when their "Mummy", a fabric supplier who they are very close to, (and they call her mummy, i dunno why) called Lady to tell her that she will be picking us up. There wasnt enough space in her car so someone had to "tong pang" in Mr Easy's bike. Lady kept telling me to sit on his bike but honestly, i have no guts to yet!! I said that i will only sit on his bike after i get my bike license.... hahaha... So in the end, the brave Miss Hungry sat on his bike instead.

The stupid concrete floor in the restaurant was super slippery and i thought i was going to do a "Penguin fall and slide" action the moment i stepped into the place! It was seriously very slippery and the new anti slip stickers that i pasted under my shoes didnt seem to help at all. Had to grab onto the chairs of customers on the way into the private room.... My boss had arrived and was waiting for all of us. As usual, she was super hungry and ate so much! I dun understand why someone of her size can manage to eat so much and still look so good. Dang it....

Miss Hungry, Lady, Alice (the other freelance designer) and I sat together, huddled in a bunch and we kept laughing over rubbish like me telling Lady that we are "partners" (according to Mr Easy who keeps saying i am a lesbian, which is so not true) and that Miss Hungry was her old flame! So we kept trying to out-possesive each other by pouting and sulking whenever Lady served either one of us food first! Lao Ban asked Lady to tell her most memorable experience in the company and she mentioned about the surprise birthday party they tried to organise for my Lao Ban.... but it BACKFIRED big time when they called her boyfriend to ask him when was she coming into the office, but he said that they were going overseas!!! And my Lao Ban didnt tell them!!! Super backfire i tell you. I cant believe it. So they tried another time, this time planned with boyfriend what time to bring her to office.

They instructed him to get her to have breakfast at his house at 830am so they can come in at 9am... but my Lao Ban was so clever and went over at 8am instead! She tried to leave at 830am so her poor boyfriend had to stall for time by pacing up and down the house and mumbling something like, "I seemed to have forgotten something.......... but i dunno what it is..." Lao Ban was so exasperated with him and kept scolding him! So cute and backfire..............

I felt really sad that Lady and Miss Hungry have to go because we are starting to get closer now and i will really miss their whacky company. Lady also said that she felt sad too because she feels the bond between all of us now is one of the best she and Miss Hungry had, compared to previous collegues. Oh, and after our lunch, Lady decided to get a birthday cake for Mr Easy (his birthday is on 4th Sept) but i kept trying to tell her to do it on Monday and have a present as well, but she and Alice kept saying that it wasnt nice to celebrate after the actual day. After the super filling lunch, we all went downstairs and us 3, Alice, Lady and i were supposed to get into the cab but the other 2 kept wanting to walk off to Orchard side to get a cake! I had to stop them from walking off because Mr Easy and Miss Hungry were still standing at the entrance of the building, not wanting to leave because of the rain! So after squabbling for close to 10mins, we took the cab to Toa Payoh to buy a cake from BreadTalk.

The irritating taxi driver kept saying that he couldnt produce a receipt for me because he had closed the meter (when i had clearly told him before he stopped and he hastily pressed the stop button after i said that, hence not being able to print the receipt) and i told him to write one instead. But he kept making excuses that he couldnt get the paper out of the receipt holder and we all didnt have any paper with us, and me losing my temper, i just told him forget it and threw him the money. In my heated moment, i forgot to take down his taxi number. Oh well, i was not thinking straight.

After getting the cake and going back to office by another cab, it was close to 4m already. By 530pm Lao Ban has returned back for the surprise celebration but by 6pm, we were even more surprised when Mr Easy and Miss Hungry did not return...... So Lady had to call him to tell him to come back to office because she missed him, and he came back at about 630pm, after his site meeting. Afterwards, Lao Ban had to lie to him that she was going to call for an urgent 5 mins meeting because she will be busy on Monday and he commented in a mildly irritated tone, "Meeting? Now??" after he heard that. So all of us had to pretend to take our notebooks (I nearly couldnt find mine as usual!) while my boss ran to the conference room to light the candles. But she couldnt light them on time so Miss Hungry had to close the door on Mr Easy!

He was really surprised over the cake and my Lao Ban ended up the only one singing the birthday song in English and Mandarin for him.... I think he got stressed looking at the whole row of candles on the cake (29 already le!)......... After the cake cutting ceremony, Lao Ban chatted with us about some gossip and we left the office at 8pm..... to which i was too tired and stuffed to go for "Front Stence" combat class. I think i would have puked out my lunch and the chocolate cake on the nicely lacquered parquet floor in the gym.

Dad is back (actually waiting for my parents to return home from the airport) and hopefully will be going to Sentosa for a swim or cycle tomorrow!
