Warning............ cat photos galore..... if you do not like cats, do not scroll down. hahahaa....

Today is the last day for my collegue, Mr Easy. It has been a very interesting 4 months working with him and i really hate to say this but i know i will miss his nonsense when he is gone. I never thought that i will miss him considering the fact that i never used to like him. As in, i didnt like to talk or even be near him! Because he always irritated me with stupid comments and questions. So to remember this irritating nonsensical guy who always have a super lame pick up line for girls, i will dedicate this post just for him! Like he reads this anyway..... hahaha!

Anyway, here are some photos that he took on his phone. Here is a ginger cat that looked like he was being flattened by the car tyre! I thought he photoshopped the cat under the car in this photo can!

Here is a picture of his orange colour vespa (he owns 3 bikes currently. Bike freak) anyway, he said he was wondering why was there this extra "mian pao" (loaf of bread) on top of his vespa, and he realised that it was this cat!! So darn cute can..............

Look at his contented face can. I imagine it's quite a fat cat because the seat of that vespa is actually quite long.... so if the cat is about the same length.... woooaah........

btw, that is his black bike next to the vespa. dunno if can see, but ya. anyway, it always breaks down. lol !!

wow.... been so busy so have absolutely no time to blog. many funny things to blog about and definately memorable, so i will try my very best to remember most and write them all down.... :D

25th Oct 2005 Tuesday
What a lousy day!

Day started out feeling extremely cold.... my toes felt like they were frozen for the past few hours and i was shivering on my bed. Could be due to the fact that i kicked my blanket aside while sleeping (this is a very common thing) so i slept through the cold night without a blanket......... very good lor.

So i decided to wear something that is long sleeved and was even considering wearing some outfit that required me to wear socks and shoes.... but there was nothing like that suitable for work, so i wore my white long sleeved psbb blouse. Went to the toilet (at office, the toilet is quite unglam, think of those toilets in industrial buildings. just have the basic necessities there only, i.e toilet bowl and sink) and as i was walking out of the door, the door closed too quickly (or rather i walked too slowly perhaps) and it closed onto my left hand. It left an unsightly black mark on my clean white sleeve. So ended up having to wash it with soap in the office. My left arm was feeling cold for the whole morning because of my wet sleeve.

Oh, and while i was trying to wash off the black mark on my left sleeve, my right sleeve got wet as well.

During lunch, i decided to go to the toilet one more time, at the kopitiam. There, the bottom part of my blouse got soaked in the flooding accumulated at the sink. So clever lor!!

Anyway, for the whole day, i was trying very hard to solve or to resolve some design issue for my project. Frustrated, i decided to meet Ah Zai for some advice after work. Decided to meet him at Admiralty and although today was one of the few rare times i managed to leave work at 615pm, i waited almost 15 mins for the bus to get to Toa Payoh. And the double decker bus was stuck in the peak hour traffic. Damn. And halfway through the journey, the bell got stuck. So allllllll the way from the beginning of MacPherson Road to Toa Payoh interchange, the bell was ringing at a constant "dong" and rhytmn.... which even the music from my poddy could not block out. Terrible.........

Once i got to the Mrt to get up to Admiralty, it was packed (once again) so i had to park myself in front of a bar. There, a smelly man stood in front of me. After he moved to sit down, the train seemed to be exceptionally shaky today and it was swaying from side to side! I was holding on the bar for almost the whole journey, while sms-ing Ah Zai and Lady. A few times, the train shoke a little too violently, and i had to balance myself on my 2 inch heels and holding my phone and bar at the same time. I think i looked like i was doing some CMI breakdance step.

Parked myself at Macs and waited for Ah Zai to arrive fashionably. For some reason, the guy behind me was talking very loudly and it was hard to talk to Ah Zai about my design..... anyway, he helped quite a bit in helping me resolve the problem so i happily ate some yogurt while waiting for his best friend Matty to call him. He also lent me this really cute comic that he bought online for a good US$6. It is super sadist and retarded humor.

After reading through a few strips....

"Oh my god Ah Zai! This comic book is like..... super retarded lor!"

"Hahahahaa!! Ya i know! I like!"

22nd October 2005 Saturday
I-nearly-exploded-a-cake-day

Today was the day that we were supposed to celebrate Gaz's 24th birthday and we ordered something for him online, but it has not arrived from the USA yet! So Ah Zai and i decided to bake him a cake!! The inital idea was actually something very "perverted" but that idea was abolished after we decided to bake at my house. I told Ah Zai that i didnt want to shock my mum at such an early age. Anyway, he was supposed to reach my house by 1pm but my mum didnt return so early and i couldnt get receipes from her so i had to tell him to come later! Which he did and it resulted in us being late for the dinner..........

Anyway, we took a long time to decided which cake to bake and i felt very ambitious on that day for some reason because i wanted to do those super beautiful marzipan-ed cakes!! In the end, after taking almost an hour to decide which cake to bake (actually at that time, it wasnt really confirmed, but it was getting late, so we decided to start on the base sponge cake first), it was close to 3pm!! And the dinner starts at 6pm!

So, it started with both of us measuring out the ingredients for the cake.... after measuring out the flour, the next step was to sieve in the baking powder.

"Hmmm... ok, i tsp(teaspoon) of baking soda....." I take the 1 tbsp (tablespoon) measuring spoon and dunk it into the baking soda can.

"Dee, what are you doing?" Ah Zai questioned me with high suspicion in his voice.

"Measuring out the baking soda lar!"

Ah Zai snatches the receipe from table and scans through. "Anddd...................... how much baking soda are you supposed to put in??" points at the "1 tsp baking soda" sentence.

I stare blankly at the receipe and back at my measuring spoon, and back at the receipe before realising that i was using the wrong measurement!!!!!! Thank god he was there to notice, otherwise i would have exploded the cake!!!!!!!! Wahahhahaa!! Then maybe the cake might have a volcano theme to it instead.

The cake mixing turned out more tiring than expected because it was actually a 2.5kg cake!! Which is really huge!! After shoving the cake mixture into the oven, we quickly decided that we had to get chocolate frosting, so my mum told me to drive down to Holland V (a baking shop at Chip Bee Gardens) to get the neccessary stuff. Got almost everything except for this item - Light Corn Syrup. The sales staff told us that we could try getting it at Cold Storage as they do not carry this item.

We also called Susie and Don (they were in the office) so that we could pick them up and go back to my place together..... Susie told us to try getting the Light Corn Syrup at this super posh looking store that sold organic foodstuff. So i unlocked my car and demanded that the 2 stay in my un-ventilated car while the 2 of us rushed off to the store. When Ah Zai and i first walked into the shop, i was almost confident that we could get something posh like "Light Corn Syrup" from such a place, but i was wrong!!! In fact, the friendly staff told us to get it at Cold Storage! We must have looked pretty flustered and desperate because when we turned to walk out through the front door, the staff told us in a slightly panicky voice, "Oh! You can go to Cold Storage through the back door! It's nearer this way!"

Sensing the urgency in his voice, 2 of us gratefully walked through the back door, and for some reason, i decided to start running! (ok la, my running equals to someone brisk walking) When we finally got to Cold Storage, we frantically looked through the tall shelvings and when Ah Zai stood at a potential corner, we still could not find it! But after hovering around there for a while, i saw it tucked away at the top shelf and i was so excited finding it! But when i saw the price - $6.05, i yelled, "Wah lau! So expensive this... this bottle of corn!"

Delighted with our find, we rushed to the express counter..... There, i told Ah Zai, "Hey..... you know what this feels like..... that TV gameshow that we used to watch when we were in secondary school........... The Price Is Right!"

"Oh yeah!! I looooovvvveeed that show! And that show where they just go running around the supermarket buying everything within that price?? Cools!!"

Now, why dont Singapore have such gameshows?? Stop copying those irritating Taiwanese talk shows and all. Just go back to basics and do these super corny shows and sensationalise it!!!

Anyway, we had to run back to the car (across the street) and i sped back home. Susie seemed impressed that i could still spot cute cats lounging around the roads even when i was speed driving............... ok la, not speed driving can.

It was back to work for the 4 of us, me and Ah Zai for the cake while the other 2 had to finish up some work. The melting of the dark chocolate was fairly easy and it went well, but when it got to the white chocolate, and after adding some cream to it, it didnt look very appetizing, so we decided to colour that orange and use it to pipe the words. I think i was super stoned or something, because i realised that i was squeezing the orange stuff out of the piping bag from the top instead and it was overflowing all over my hands! Of course we had to do a new piping bag after that..........

In our rush, (Don and Susie had to rush down to Bugis first to meet the birthday boy who was making a lot of noise because no one turned up yet.) we decided to put the cake in the frezzer to chill the cake because the orange words were melting!! Quickly drove down to Bugis seoul garden and we put on 24 candles for him to blow out! Hahahahaaa.... The cake turned out a little dry but the chocolate was really nice!! My mum even gave us some plastic containers to put the leftover cake to bring home.... After the dinner, at least 5 of us were holding the plastic containers in our hands. I think i overheard Mr Sarcastic comment that we look like we just attended a Malay wedding.

After dinner, we could not decide where to hang out, so Ah Zai, Susie, Miss What, Don and i hung out at Muji while the rest decided where to go. I can't remember the sequence, but i think Don and i wanted to go to the toilet so we walked off for a while. It was then that Don told me that he was happy that i gave him some advice the other day and it is not often that he received such constructive comments. I also felt happy that i helped because it seemed long since someone told me that too. :D

Anyway, we finally decided on Pasir Ris Park because 90% of the group stays in the east, (only Ah Zai and i were the outcasts) and we hung out at this place called "The Reef". We sat near the beach but it was a little smelly. The DJ for the night was this young girl/Ah Lian and her voice was super teh and irritating!!! I was really cringing whenever she talks. And her jokes were quite lame as well..... After Gaz went up to them to request for S.H.E's superstar song, the DJ kept on talking about how she was impressed that Gaz listens to Chinese music and how she will play Malay songs if she had any and blahblahblah. Then she even assumed that i was his girlfriend (i was sitting beside him) but the rest of the group told me to play along. :D Ah Zai tried to irritate me by requesting for Mariah's songs...... but they shoved that song till much later and they played it after we got up to leave! Hahahaaa!!

Decided to send Ah Zai home because i was in a good mood and went back home to snooozzzee......... Gotta go and rest now! Should be a long day tomorrow and mum will be going to China soon! She was nagging me in the car this morning about watering her precious pandan leaf plant while she's gone (because the last time she went to China, i killed the plant due to me watering it every alternate day when it requires daily watering.) so after nagging me for a while, i jokingly scolded her, "Ya la ya la...... just take your plant to........ China lar!"

And she looked like she was really thinking of doing just that. Her theory is that there dont seem to be any pandan leaves in China, so she could bring a young one there to plant at my father's apartment. So clever............

i am so sleepy but i cant go back to my room because my brother is using my computer and i cant sleep with all the lights on. so here i am, blogging from his computer in HIS room with half closed eyes.

I am looking my absolute ugliest recently. First of all, i got sunburnt more than 3 weeks ago and the skin on my hands are still flaky despite applying tons of aloe vera gel on it. And on Monday? I got so stressed over my work that i had a super pimple breakout. 4 in a go on the right cheek and forehead..... and i was feeling extremely nauseous from morning till lunch time!! The last time i felt this stressed over some sort of work was back in school for my final year project. I just felt like my body was half dead and i was quiet during lunch, which is a little less than usual of me. But after some food, i felt a little better............

i will go konk out on my bed now........... zzzzzz............

This week has been so "happening". First i got scolded left-right-up-down-centre by Lao Ban, and i had to share that scolding with Mr Easy. That was on Monday. She was going on about our communication work flow between each other, and why i didn't seem to pass him the neccessary drawings and so on. Shall not go into detail, but basically, both of us didn't talk back or try to defend ourselves because we knew that she was on a scolding roll that night, so it will make matters worse by trying to fight back. But when she said,

"Don't the 2 of u talk to each other?? As in, talk to each other about work?? I always see the 2 of you talking....... but i don't know if it is about work?!!"

I was seriously dumbfounded, and i can't remember if my jaw dropped to the floor when i heard that, and it took me some time to calm and composure to refrain myself from screaming back. Thank god i didn't. When i narrated the "scolding" to Miss Hungry (who incidently has something going on already with Mr Easy for the past 3 weeks. heh heh.) over MSN, she said,

"Don't worry la. She always says that. It's like some standard stuff that she always says when she's angry. She always said that to me and Lady in the past!"

What to do. As friends and collegues, Mr Easy and I had to share the burden and get scolded together lor. Lol. Anyway, after Lao Ban calmed down, she talked to me nicely on Thursday to kinda "apologise" for her behaviour that night (when she scolded us) because she said she was feeling the pressure of not being able to hand over the project on the expected time. I was secretly happy that i didn't say anything back on Monday. Phew.

So, after my mishap with my contacts, the very next day, i thought i was going to site. So i dressed up appropriately with my black covered up shoes. These shoes were bought some 2 or 3 years ago when i went to Hong Kong for a holiday. And i seldom wear them as they are pretty formal. So i dug them out and wore it on Thursday. Apparently, the heel of my shoe has gotten weak and it came out! I only realised it when i was walking out to lunch with Mr Easy, and i slipped on the ramp that i was walking on........ Thank god i always walk beside the railings of stairs and ramps, knowing how clumsy i am. And i only noticed that my heel dropped out when i was inspecting my shoes during lunch.

Had to meet Ah Zai at Bugis for the Holga exhibition at Objectives, so when i was crossing the road from my office, i slipped on the road! Thank god i was not running (i remembered Ah Zai's advice NEVER to run across the road, even when there is a car coming towards you, because it's worse when you slip.) and i realised that the heel from the other shoe dropped out too!!! Sad case man. First my contacts, then my shoes. Went to the exhibition with him first and had to drag him to Mister Minit to get my heels fixed. It cost a wonderful $26.50 to fix it and Ah Zai commented that i could buy a new pair of shoes with that amount of money! But i remembered that i paid waaayy more for that pair of shoes, so i went ahead with it anyway.

After my KFC dinner, i didnt feel like going straight home despite it being 10.30pm already. So we walked in the drizzle to the Arts House and i said i wanted to look for the cute cat that will do a turn whenever i meow at it. We found it at the usual spot but it didnt turn as much as it did when we first saw it. But it was still quite cute and i was admiring it's different patches all over its body.

15th Oct 2005 Saturday
Studio work........

Decided to go down to Susie's studio at Laselle to help him with his final model for his project. All of us in the Longan/Ah Long gang came down surprisingly and we all wondered why we were being so nice to him........ on a Saturday somemore! I met up with the ipod earphones seller at Bedok, who turned out to be a Sec 4 looking young punk and i bought the earphones from him at $20. At least i can hear my music clearly now. Once i was at Bedok, i called Susie to ask him which bus to take to his school. He told me that Mr Sarcastic was going to drive down so i quickly called him, in hopes of getting a free ride down! My timing was perfect as he was walking to his car when i called! Woohoo!!

After he picked me up, i had to comment on everything in his car.... from the super matching cartoon bears in his car, from the seat belt, to the head rest and tissue holder! And due to some miscommunication, he thought i was going to pull the seat belt from the head rest instead of the usual place for the seat belts! So it resulted in the both of us squabbling and he wanting to drop me off at some secluded place with no public transport! He also said i was being very difficult when i commented that the air con was a little stuffy.

We drove through Geylang Serai and there was a huge jam throughout that whole stretch. I also asked him why did they hang up so many "bird cages" along the decorative arches. He said that they weren't bird cages but super ugly light fixtures! I think 2 Sagitarians cannot be together in the car for too long because we nearly killed each other with his sarcasm and my irritating-ness.

When we got to Laselle, everyone was surprised as to why the 2 of us turned up together. So Mr Sarcastic lied to everyone that i went to his house first and he drove me here. I played along with the joke until i decided to tell the truth during our $98 pizza hut dinner.

"blahblahblahblah................ So that is the real story as to why the 2 of us turned up here together."

"And that's the truth." Mr Sarcastic added after me.

As i looked around, everyone seemed to have this "i totally don't believe that story and i think the first story was true" look!! So i wailed, "Why is it that all of you don't believe me after i really tell the truth!!"

Anyway, i was in charge of cutting the staircases for his model and after i passed him the "spine" of the stairs to be sprayed grey, Susie walked out of the studio and Gaz and i heard this high pitched girl sounded scream shortly after! Both of us stared at each other with disbelief but continued cutting boards. Susie came back to the studio looking flustered,

"OMG! I can't believe i just did such a loser thing!! I actually sprayed at my hand because i didn't notice that the nozzle was facing the other side!! AAArrgghhh!!"

Nothing to say man.

And for some reason, i was feeling very tired and sleepy after our dinner (dunno if it was because i was too full or i am old already, cannot keep up with such work anymore) so i lazed around for a while and basically i didnt contribute much afterwards. Haha.... By 12.10am, Don, Ah Zai, Gaz and me had to leave because we didn't want to miss our last bus, so we headed down to City Hall by Bus 14 while i went to my usual bus stop to get my Bus 32. However after waiting for 15mins, i was resigned to my fate that i had missed the last bus. So i walked down to Boat Quay to grab a cab.

I have an offer to do a part time job, and its really flexible... but i also dunno if i should take it up. It involves working at night till about 12 midnight and the pay isnt great, but something in me tells me that i do want to take it up to have a more interesting lifestyle and also use this chance to save some money? Seriously considering it but no commitments yet. Hmmm....

I think, i will be getting the ipod Nano. Once again, is this a rash decision?? I dont care! Wahahahahaha!

Man. What a day.

While on the bus 190 to Far East Plaza on the way home, my eyes felt very dry... so i merely touched my right eye and my contact lens dropped out! At first i managed to pick it up but i dropped it again!!!! I was so frantically patting myself all over my body, jacket, jeans and bag for the stupid brown tinted contact lens but i couldnt find it this time. I was half blind and looking like a bloody fool looking up and down my seat (lucky nobody was sitting beside me!) and trying to feel around the dusty floor of the TransIsland bus but still.......... nothing. I knew that it would be a super impossible for myself only to search for that tiny piece of.... glass(?) when im like some half blind clown, so i tried to stop at Far East Plaza but the stupid bus have left the bus stop, so the driver didnt let me get off and i had to stop outside Tangs and walk to Lucky Plaza to take a cab home. It was so hard to walk from the bus stop to the taxi stand with a super blurry left eye and i was so relieved when i saw that there was hardly any queue at the taxi stand.

Here are some replies that i received when i sms-ed a few friends about the unfortunate accident :

"Then can you find your way home?"
"Huh? How did you do that? You rub is it?"
"He got one(UV mini lights) from his ICA training session, to check for counterfeit notes and passports. Contacts would glow! Wa... that is a lot of money. You're half blind and instantly broke. You must be very grumpy now... :-( On your way home?"
"Truth is one blind eye is worse than 2 eyes blind. Now you one eye jack. Wear disposable lar."

Haiz. I dunno what to say. That will be $150 (for one side only ah!) down the drain.... Just when i was thinking of saving some more money for a trip at the end of the year and a bikini that i saw with Bunny online. Looks like all that has to wait for the time being. Stupid man.

1st Oct 2005 Saturday
Sentosa and getting sunburnt!!

Was supposed to meet the Longan Gang for an outing at Sentosa at 10am... but i woke up at 10am instead! Apparently i had set the alarm clock at 830am but i merely switched it off and went back to bed until 10!!! I was so damned shocked that i had overslept so much and woken up at the time that i was supposed to meet them! Honestly, i think i have not done this before. Yes, i have been late but not this late! Jumped out of bed and quickled messaged Gaz and Ah Zai to tell them....

Got to Harbourfront's Macs at 11.20am but realised that the rest had gone down to the train station to wait for me there instead. And i had conveniently walked past their group thinking that they were a bunch of noisy JC students. Everyone had a nice filling Macs breakfast except for me so i kept telling Ah Zai that i was so hungry. He was as irritated as i was hungry.

Decided on Palawan Beach because there was a convenient 7-11 store there which meant that we could buy our calorie laden snacks and drinks there. Lol. Gaz bought a cheap mat for $3.50 and a shocking pink colour frisbee while i got my fishball and curry puff breakfast there. I was kinda clueless on how to play frisbee so i just watched Pig and bf first before attempting it. Pig couldnt stop laughing at my "glam" frisbee throwing pose but it dived right into the sand. So much for being glam huh.

We then decided to play Captain's ball for a while (yes, in the scorching hot sun) but i think we are getting old already, because after barely 10mins of running around, we will have a time-out and rest and snack for the next half and hour. Terrible. What happened to our good old fit bodies???! (Ok la, I'm not so fit in the first place anyway) And i definately can feel the difference in my stamina when i used to go to the gym 3 times a week as compared to once a week now... Anyway, before we started playing Captain's ball, Ah Zai got stung by a baby scorpion!!! It was crawling on the ball and apparently bit onto his left arm and he had to pull the tail off his hand!! (or what he thought was a scorpion anyway because it looked like a scorpion's tail) All of us kept telling him to get first aid immediately, but he subbornly refused to and insisted on playing.

The water looks nice here but it tastes really really salty!!! Yeucks!!

Halfway through the game, he felt faint and had to rest for a while in the shade... Don't know if it was due to the bite or the extreme heat and dehydration (or could be both!) but all of us were super worried for him! Everyone insisted on bringing him to get First Aid so it started out with just Dex, Mr Sarcastic and me accompanying Ah Zai. Then Gaz joined us as well! Wah, a whole gang of us accompany him man... Anyway, the stupid lifeguard in ugly sunglasses was super unhelpful and he merely sprayed this lousy thing to numb the pain away only.

"Oh, there is nothing much we can do actually. You just have to wait and see if you get any allergic reaction to the bite, and if you do, then we will call in the ambulance for you. And......... i don't think it was a scorpion that bit you because they don't live in this sort of habitat."

Thanks lor. You are so helpful. And do cut down on your sarcasm as well. You really comforted us with those words. I think he realised that we weren't too happy with his actions when Ah Zai asked for his name. His answer??

"Oh, if you need help or want to call us, just wave your arms (he really did the waving arms action ok) and shout H E L P."

I have never met a more bimbotic lifeguard. A male one at that too. Gaz's comment after that episode was, "Oh man. That was soooooooo David Hasselhoff." My sentiments exactly.

After Ah Zai rested a while from that bimbotic episode, we continued playing Captain's ball.... but in the frisbee version! Pig and i couldnt stop laughing because it was extremely hilarious and we commented that we were laughing more than playing. Though it was extremely hilarious, it was extremely exhausting as well (dunno from the laughing or the running for the frisbee) so we timed out in 5 mins again. And snacked.

We then decided to go into the water because of the scorching heat and while we were in the water, this cute looking boyish faced guy starting hanging around near our group!! At first i thought it was one of the others' friend, but it turned out that he was super smitten with Mr Bedok!! He kept swimming near us and smiling to himself!! Ah Zai and i were very amused with him and he was also looking admiringly at Mr Bedok in the shower room as well! (dunno which part he was looking at also. haha!!)

After getting out of the waters, we headed for the showers where the shower jet for the girls toilet was super powerful that our bags got wet. It was a chore bathing there and the poor boys had to head for the other shower room at the other end because there was no water supply for them at the temporary toilets!

I was extrememly adamant about taking the cable car out of Sentosa and Ah Zai said that he had not taken the cable car before!! So 2 of us really wanted to sit on it, and we managed to convince Gaz, Dex and Mr Bedok as well! The rest went to Cafe Cartel at PS directly by bus. (It was Darren's gf's birthday dinner and i really really didnt want to go.)

The cable car ride was $8.90 for 5 mins and the rest didnt want to take the $9.90 for 20 mins package because they didnt want to be late for the dinner!! Arrggghhh... Anyway, the stupid cable car was quite warm (the last time i took, i thought it was air conditioned! Or maybe i was dreaming lar) and the 5 mins passed really quickly. Took the NEL to PS and reluctantly went for the birthday dinner.

Like this picture of the 3 of us!! Cause we look happy!! Hee! (Im sunburnt man...)

Met up with Susie Hoe at Hereen after the dinner and was really happy to see him for once because i wanted to get away from that girl. Everyone accompanied Gaz to shop for a new bag because his old PSBB bag was pecha already and went to Esplanade to sit and yak for the rest of the night.

My heart feels really heavy. I hope to get this load off me soon. It hurts........ and I hate it.
