It's been like a million years since i blogged. Lazy and tired to do so...... Been working till 11pm everyday of this week except for today when i decided to take a break and went out for chicken curry dinner with 3d goddess and ah zai and a haggen dazz dessert @ Clarke Quay with Shush as well. The haggen Dazz outlet seemed to have pretty weak air conditioning considering it is an ICE CREAM PARLOUR. wahahhaaa..... 4 of us felt very hot (yes, even after having our drinks and ice cream) in a small corner of the parlour.

Anyway, up are photos of my Bangkok Trip....... which silly Bunny has been pestering me before AND after my trip on who i went with........ And my answer would always be the standard, "My scandal lor!!" To which she replied, "Well, i don't mind you going to Bangkok with a hot guy... as long as he is not married."

Me : "Oh! So not married but attached guy...... can right??"

Bunny : "Not my boyfriend can already!"

: P

Bangkok trip was a super hectic, tiring but fun all at the same time. We ate and shopped like nobody's business.... although it is really hard to get BIGGER clothes sizes there cause the girls are super petite and what they wear as a short skirt is probably what i have to wear as a tube top lor....... Surprisingly, Brands essence of chicken and women's lingerie is cheap there...... Both 3D Goddess and i went mad with these 2 items...

1st night - Thursday night

Escaped successfully from office 1 hour earlier (with our bosses permission of course) to catch our 7.35pm flight. I think i really hate flying. The moment i entered the plane, i felt nauseous and giddy! And this was even before the plane took off! After we touched down in Bangkok, we were brought to our hotel Baiyoke Sky. I must say that the design of the hotel is hideous and i was warned about the super ugly restaurant, which my boss claimed he got conned into going. (?!!) Apparently the normal rooms were all taken up, so they decided to upgrade us to the bigger suite which consists of a living room, dining room, bedroom and the humongous bathroom!!! All 4 of us were so scared of our rooms that we wanted to switch to a smaller room!! But as i mentioned, the normal rooms were full, so we decided to stick to the scary big room.

You can do a cartwheel in the bathroom comfortably and conduct a mini yoga session in the living and dining area lor!

So we set out to find the famous beautiful sky bar..... at a place called the Dome or something like that. The sky bar that was featured in the design Trends magazine..... So we asked the receptionist to write the address in Thai for us so we can show it to our taxi driver and bring us to the right place. The receptionist found out that it is at Banyan Tree hotel so off we went. It was crowded and full of foreigners and hardly any locals there.... We ordered non alcoholic drinks (so that we don't get mabok and fall off from the railings, it was something like 72nd floor or something.) and had a seafood platter which was really really good!! 4 of us are still craving for it even though we are back in Singapore........

Anyway, our other destination to go to would be Metropolitan Hotel. Which was conveniently right next to Banyan Tree. So we walked over and oo-ed and wow-ed at the design. Apparently a room there is like US$200 a night. AND IT WAS FULLY BOOKED CAN!!! scary lor....

By the time we went back to our hotel, it was 3am (Bangkok time) and 3d goddess and i couldnt sleep! So i started to teach her some yoga poses (on the bed) and i ended up straining my back muscles. She wanted to show me the shoulder stand on the bed and i kept trying to tell her not to do so otherwise she will hurt herself!

We managed to sleep at 4+ in the morning. Biologically, it was 5am Singapore time.

2nd Day - Friday

Went to the new Siam Paragon shopping centre where i was asked to take photos of it (for work reference) and obviously we could afford nothing there (maybe except for the food) because it was crowded with all the well known brands such as Gucci and Jimmy Choo and blah blah....... Seeing that we could afford nothing there, we went off to Siam Square where the shopping started!!! I bought a really expensive leather bag (shall not go into details about it) and some clothes.... Went to Siam Discovery to look at more work related furniture shops (wah lau, dunno if it was a work research trip or shopping trip lor!) and by the time we got to MBK, we were half dead. So we went back to the hotel to rest again before heading out to have seafood.

We wanted to go to Chinatown for seafood, but Mr Sarcastic was chatting innocently with the taxi driver and dunno how we ended up at some other seafood restaurant (and he obviously had some commission for bringing us there) where the service was terrible. We took 4 giant prawns and only 2 came. Had to get them to bring our other 2 missing prawns and when the bill came, they charged us for lobster when we didnt have any! I pointed to our prawn shells and said, "These are prawns, not lobsters!" Luckily it was a mistake and they shaved that off our bill......

Headed to the clubbing scene after that...... The taxi driver had a hard time finding the famous Bed Supper Club and he kept going through small and dark roads...... left the 4 of us feeling very insecure and scared..... thank god he was no baddie and brought us to the right place.... It was Vesak Day that day, so they didn't serve alcohol for the day. It was a very quiet night scene and we just lounged around till these 4 dancers came out and started dancing to the Batman song!!

After Bed Supper, we wanted to head over to Q Bar which is just nearby. But guess what, it was closed. Well.......... at least we were outside the bar!!

Went to the 7-11 near our hotel and Mr Sarcastic and i bought a medium sized bottle of Betagen (their equivalent of our Vitagen) and it comes in a small, medium and large sizes. Went back to our room and had our "Betagen party"..... While Ipan and 3D Goddess had Meji milk instead.....

3rd Day - Chatuchuk

Reached Chatuchuk @ 11 plus and bought quite a lot of stuff there! Went mad on a t-shirt buying spree and i bought a really cute t shirt for my brother (which i happen to like a lot and totally regretted not getting another for myself) which had a logo similar to Adidas, and instead of Adidas, it was "Adidogs" and the silhouettes of 3 dogs instead of the "fan" design! Super adorable....... and the sizes for guy clothes are super small and deciving. Their M size is like our local's S size and their XL is something like our M size.......

Had a really appetizing lunch at the Chatuchuk market as well and we are still reminiscing about the tom yum soup, chicken satay and roasted chicken..... we ordered soooo much but in the end, we only paid SGD$5 a person!! For so much food..... and it was super delicious!

Went back to the hotel to rest after such a hectic shopping trip and booked for a massage at 9pm! The massage place was surprisingly really nice where they had these big ass super comfy spongy massage chairs. I was laughing at 3d Goddess pull the leg rest up because when the leg rest comes up, the backrest lowers backwards at the same time! When i did the same for my chair, my slipper flew off! Mr Sarcastic was so embarrassed to be seen with us and said that we made the value of the place go from $5 to 50cents.

The 1.5 hour massage which consisted of foot reflexology, hand and shoulder and back massage was only SGD$25! And it was not a dogy place at all! So nice clean and modern...... Would love to go back there again.. Except it was tucked into this ulu zulu high class residential area.... We quickly rushed to Suam Lum night market but after we had our late dinner, the shops were starting to close. So we only managed a couple of buys there.

We decided to take the tuk tuk back to ur hotel (yes all 4 of us in a tuk tuk meant to carry a max 3 people) and poor Mr Sarcastic had to sit on the floor. 3d Goddess had to stick her foot out in front to make sure that he didnt fly out....... When the tuk tuk went upslope, all 3 girls saw the scary high slope that we would be going down and started screaming prematurely. But in the end, it was nothing and not scary at all. Chey............

All of us were still hungry so we stopped at the 7-11 outside our hotel. On the way to the 7-11, this really fat and wet rat ran across my path and it brushed against my feet!!!! I couldnt stop screaming and Mr Sarcastic and Ipan quickly walked on the road instead of the pavement the moment they realised what happened....... I was still traumatised when i reached the hotel room and i demanded that i get to bathe first... ugh!!

So for our 3rd night, we had an instant noodle party (in our room once again) and watched WWF or called WWE now..... 3d goddess and Mr Sarcastic bought the same spicy beef noodles and it was hilarious watching her eating it because she cant take spicy food...... while Mr Sarcastic just happily drank every drop of the spicy soup like it was nothing..... So much for our instant noodle party.......

The next morning, 3d Goddess and i rushed to the World trade centre's Isetan to buy cheap CHEAP undergarments!!! wooohooo!! ok la, it is at least 25-30% cheaper than those in Singapore. Happy with our undergarment purchase, we rushed to the supermarket to get Brands Essence of Chicken (yes its cheaper there) and i got myself a box of Brands birds nest as well... And in The Amazing Race style, we rushed to the tax refund counter to get our form and ran to get a taxi to rush back to our hotel to check out.........

We waited quite long for our transport to arrive and when it did, all 4 of us were shocked! it was like those mini buses that i used to take back in Primary school where "Lao auntie" will bark at us to move to the back of the bus....... sorry, its the even smaller type eh....... Anyway, the driver miraculously managed to shove ALL our luggage plus 2 other passengers' luggages to the already packed to the brim booth and 6 of us squeezed into the cramped bus.

I had very little breakfast in the morning as i was sick of the buffet breakfast food so i was extremely hungry when i got to the airport and after going through the tedious immigration, i was so happy to see KFC there!! The chicken at the KFC was really nice, very fresh and it doesnt taste as oily as the ones in Singapore..... we had to rush through our scrumptous lunch though cause we had to run to the boarding gate for our flight....

Ok, nothing much to blog about us arriving in Singapore lar. So boring from then on........ Hhahaa.... will upload photos at Shush's degree grad show soon! I am having a headache now.... and im not sure if it is from the horrible singing that i heard on Singapore Idol earlier or from the consumption of super heaty durian...... Ugghh...
