Present buying day

Decided to meet up with Ah Zai to buy Susie's pressie for the next day and we decided to go to Funan Centre to check out the ipod accessories. But both of us were late because the train took super long to reach his station and i left the office late because i was helping Lady to PDF some files. So by the time we were at City Hall and decided to walk to Funan, it was already close to 8pm, which was about the closing time for the store. Both of us somehow did not seem to agree on anything that we both planned to get so we roamed around until i suggested going to Bugis - Muji.

Took a short bus ride there (after some silly arguments about whether we should take the train or bus) and went on a Muji shopping spree for Susie! It helped that the store closes at 10pm too. So Ah Zai carried the basket while we walked around the store and i threw in anything that i thought looked very poser or whichever items that i thought was very him. Saw this ridiculously small rectangular shaped cutting mat which i also thought was very him, so i threw it into the basket. After going through all the items in the store, we sat down on the sofas while Ah Zai "edited" or "QC-ed" out the items. Talk about making yourself feel at home!

Finally decided on the following items, after Ah Zai edited out the poser Arcylic tissue box... (why?!) :

1. A pair of L size green slippers
2. A brown colour apron (for him to use when he bakes his tiramisu)
3. A glass like tupperware (which is really quite chio ok!)
4. 2 no.s of brown mocha coloured theme tea towels
5. 1 black colour file organizer/pencil case
6. 2 no.s aryclic boxes to put his knick knacks in (this is the poser part of the present)

Wanted to get a nice beautiful big box from Muji as well to put all the items in, but we both decided that he was not worth it. No lar, we thought it would be better to get a nicer box at Ikea instead... So after purchasing all the items, we had dinner opposite and walked to City Hall for him to take the train home while i hopped on the bus home.


13th August 2005 - Saturday
Susie Hoe's Birthday Celebrations

Susie Hoe decided to celebrate his birthday with the Longan Gang on the very day and wanted to meet at 5pm Orchard MRT! When Miss What heard it, she commented, "What?! So early? Like those secondary school kids who meet up at this kind of timing and sit on the stairs lor!" I tried to make it by 5pm but i couldnt cause i was busy wrapping his pressie. The night before i had a sudden inspiration to do a photo collage for part of the present (I was quite free lar) so i started to dig out all the old photos from my poddy and luckily i had just copied quite a bit of photos from Susie's comp the other day.

Continued the collaging in the morning and according to this guy's blog, he made this beautiful LifePoster from iPhoto so i decided to follow his instructions. It took me some time to adjust to the iPhoto program and was super frustrated when i could not do anything right! But after figuring out the easy way, it was pretty fun and i was happily changing the angles of the photos and adjusting the colours. However, i didnt check through the file properly before sending it off to print because 2 of the photos were smaller than the rest! luckily it wasnt too obvious. i hope.

By the time i got it printed and reached home, it was already close to 5pm, so i was obviously late in meeting them but when i reached Paragon's Thai Express, only Susie was there! Mr Sarcastic, Ipan (Mr Sarcastic's gf) and Mr Bedok had gone off to buy his cake! Susie was highly amused by the giant parcel i was carrying and i tried to lie to him that i was going to post it off. Obviously he didnt buy that.

Mr Sarcastic. He was visibly upset when his gf was gushing about a cute guy with sexy lips she saw at the M1 shop. He tried to "up" himself by saying that he scored more points at the soccer game as compared to that cute guy. Ipan looked like she didnt even hear that. Haha!

Ipan's friends, the guy was called Windy! And his sister in purple. Dun know her name though...

Mr Bedok having the Mango dessert all by himself. Think he was waiting for Susie to share with him.

We joked that his dessert looked like the Esplanade...
