I have finally recovered big time from my stomach problems and i am eating normally for once in dunno how many weeks. But my flu virus took about 1 week to transfer to Gaz and Mr Sarcastic as both of them took MCs pretty close to each other.... Opppss..... Most probably is the same virus as me.

Friday night, we were all dying to go for our usual weekly Friday outing....... Gaz and Mr Sarcastic had planned to go karaoke at their usual $10-a-person-@-Apollo-Centre with their other group of friends and they pulled 3D Goddess to go along for it, despite her not liking one particular person too much. ( the same goes for me about that particular person, but let's not go into details.) She thought i would be going for the same outing but i said i would most rather go home than to go to a smokey and noisy (and i don't sing!!) place. She decided to join me to go off for some shopping/dinner/drink session somewhere else instead of singing to Faye Wong. (gosh this is so corny, but nevermind.)

Towards the end of the day, Ah Zai and Shush also agreed to meet up for dinner. By 5 plus 6, we told Mr Sarcastic of our other group's plans and tried to "poach" him over to go out with us instead and it was very amusing to see him in such a dilemna!! Over the trusty MSN, i tried to convince him to go out with us instead (since he doesnt sing anyway!) and when i failed, i pulled Ah Zai into the conversation to talk him into meeting us instead.

But Mr Sarcastic aka Biawak stood strong in his stand (despite him who looked like he was about to give in to the temptation anytime!!) and said that he is a man of his promise and will still go out with the first group that he promised. He tried to join us later in the night, but think he got tired of listening to the rest sing to Disney songs all night or something.

While 1/4 of the Longan Gang was howling their vocals out to a small TV screen somewhere in Chinatown, the other half of the Longan Gang which consisted of Ah Zai, 3d Goddess, Shush and me, met up for Thai Express @ Esplanade and i found out that their red ruby dessert is not too bad actually! But i can't say the same for their service especially when the black-faced waitress didnt serve Ah Zai and Shush their cutlery!! And she still had the cheek to say "Yes??!" in such an irritated and demanding tone when Ah Zai called her over. Wah. Felt like slapping her face lor.

Anyway, we walked over to City Hall and stood at the entrance of City Hall trying to decide which cool place to hang out at and i decided to pull out the 8 days that i passed to 3d Goddess (we have a common magazine library) and tried to look out for any places of reccomendation. Damn. Only those high class expensive restaurants lor. So Shush pulled out some magazine he was carrying and pointed out this place in Owen Road. Looked quite nice and cool so we decided to check it out.

According to the staff at the MRT station, we could take bus 131 (if i remember correctly!) from outside Capitol Building, but due to some miscommunication between the Longangs, Shush brought us through the dark and scary back alleys of Capitol to get to the bus stop at the other side........ (in the direction of Bugis!). When we got to that bus stop, we realised our mistake and tried to hail a cab for the next 15 mins or so. When we failed to get one, we decided to walk to the bus stop outside National Library (i mean, the used-to-be-plot-of-land for the National Library) and that stupid bus took another freaking 15 or 20 mins or so to arrive!!

Miraculously, we managed to find our way to Owen Road and to the small and hidden night cafe. We could have sat inside the air conditioned reception and be comfortably seated on the cute plastic chairs, but no, we decided to go to the back where it was al-fresco seatings and sat right outside the dimly lit toilet. The toilet door didnt go all the way up to the door opening's height, so we could still see the candle light glowing in the toilet, and it somewhat looked like there was a mini party going on in the toilet! Somemore got happening music, just for the toilet ok.

The place opens from 6pm till 6am (if i got this right!) and it is actually an Architect's office by day, and cafe by night. The owner was very curious to know how we got to know about his cafe, as it opened only 3 months ago and there was no advertising done. When we told him about the mag review, he said that it was actually some accidental publishing! Lol. Anyway, there were some very nice beautiful chopped tree stumps used as stools and coffee tables, and for decorations as well. Was very curious to know where he got it from as i needed some for my current project! 3d Goddess told me that it is actually possible to chop off a tree in Singapore, but if you get found out, you will be fined $10,000! I proposed that idea to my contractor and he wanted to kill me.

"Xiao Jieeeee............ you want me to go to jail is it?? For cutting down a tree for your project!!"

Woohooo!! My Lao ban will be on reservist for the next 2 weeks while the Lao ban niang will be on leave tomorrow!! Macs breakfast tomorrow again? :P
