9th December 2005 Friday
Spizza and friends...

Woke up to a nice new day on my birthday.... feels good not to be working and having nothing to worry about for a while... haha... Received plently of wonderful text messages from friends and family for the whole day which was really nice.... However, i felt somewhat fatter from my 2 day trip to Desaru with my family so i dragged myself to the gym for a rather empty combat class.... And met up with my parents for a nice dim sum lunch at the Furama hotel nearby (we were all starving by then, it was 2.30pm) and my mum ordered the food first while my dad and i went off to look for a parking lot. When we got to the restaurant, both of us were super shocked to see dish after dish appearing on the table!! My mum ordered something like 9 dim sum dishes and not including dessert!! Anyway, we had to da-pao the char siew pao back cause we 3 really couldnt make it by then.......

My parents then dropped me off at Bugis to develop my Holga film at Tan Quee Lan street while they went off in search of a claypot. For some reason, they were very inspired to cook some claypot dishes for the night. When i got to the photo processing shop, my stomach was doing a few somersaults when the lady told me that my film was a little loose and it might be a little exposed. I was very very scared that my film would not turn out again and i will waste all my time, money and effort on this stupid camera. Decided to just go ahead and process all the film anyway. Dropped by the Objectives on the way to the bus stop and i enquired about the film for the Holga. And got the girl to help me load my film and so to make sure that i will load it properly....

The moment i stepped into my house, (it was 5pm) Mr Gorilla messaged me to say that he had finished work early and wanted to meet for a while. So i had to get out of the house one more time and ran for the stupid bus to Plaza Sing. Accompanied him to John Little where he had to get a lilac colour shirt for his dad because they had a wedding to attend on Sunday. I kept trying pointing out the cheap shirts on sales on the metal trolleys and he had to keep telling me to stop announcing to the whole store about getting the cheap shirts so that he wouldnt look so cheap skate. Anyway, he got one short sleeve shirt for a good $20 bucks. Actually quite good a deal........

Mr Gorilla was wearing a white Timberland short sleeve TUCKED INTO his pants which made him look really nerdy, with a backpack. I must have told him a million times that night to tuck out the shirt so that he wouldnt look so nerdy. But dunno what's wrong with him, he kept hearing, "Take out your shirt". So typical of him to hear what he wants to hear.......

We planted ourselved in Gelare where he was nice enough to treat me to a waffle ice cream and a mango smootie which i didnt finish. And he later confessed to me that his wonderful mother of his dirtied the brand new Domanchi shirt that i gave him for his birthday with tumeric, and then........ she tried to clean off the yellow stain with Clorex. Which just made the blue colour stripes turn purple. Accompanied him to the Paragon outlet to enquire if he could change it and it could be done if he still has the receipt..... which i have conveniently thrown away actually...

So once we got to Holland V's Spizza, we ordered our side dishes and pizzas (which was really nice!) and had our usual cake cutting and present opening ceremony!! Click here for photos of the party!! I did not resize the photos so if you want the picture, just pick it up from there!!

After the dinner, we all headed down to Gallery hotel where Susie was for some free party at some pub there.... I conveniently planted myself in dead fish's car and he allowed me to drive the car!!! MANUAL SOMEMORE!!! As usual i think i entertained Bao, dead fish and Miffy in the car with my "impeccable" manual driving skills..... Then that dead fish had to park his car outside of Holland V, near the famous XO fish soup place and i kept scolding dead fish for parking his car so far away and making us walk so far.....

Then i found out that he did that because he had free season parking at that block cause his parents have a hum-cheam-pang store there.......... Bao seemed excited for some free hum cheam pang but their store was obviously closed by then....... Hahaha... Anyway, the clutch of the car was much friendlier than Patrick's Kangoo but my legs felt very tired after that!! And for some strange reason, the car's air con was super powerful which was freezing up my left hand........ Poor dead fish seemed traumatised whenever i didnt step on the brake while waiting at the traffic light which resulted in the car rolling backwards slightly, which also resulted in him screaming, "DDDAAaaaarrrr----nniiiiisseeeee!!! The car is moving backwards!!!" Which also made me laugh more because of his panicky reaction........

Amazingly, the car and 4 of us got to Gallery in whole pieces and dead fish seemed rather happy that i stalled the car while parking........ stupid dead fish. Oh! And i couldnt get the stupid 5th gear for some bloody reason..... dead fish kept having to tell me to step on the cluth while he helped me change it..... Hahahhaa!! Women drivers.... kekekekeke!!

When we all got to the hotel, i told Ah Zai that i drove the car there....

"Wah lau!! No wonder so long lor!! I went to Guardian, walked around...... and even waited 10 mins for the cab lor! and we got here first!"

Anyway, we all just nua-ed in the hotel room and watched DreamCatchers on HBO which was super gross and Ah Zai seemed very amused by Miffy's reactions to the scary movie......... He is convinced that he will ask Miffy along for the next scary movie outing and sit beside her!! HAhahaaa..... Miffy and I then cuddled up under the blanket because we were shivering....... After a while, Susie got all of us to go down to the pub but when we got there, we realised that we had to pay!! So we all decided to walk down to Mohamed Sultan's Butter Fingers......... a cafe that Ah Zai, Susie and I used to go to.... but it closed down!! Defeated, we just crossed the road to 7-11 and bought drinks and snacks....

We huddled in the hotel room once more after that night outing but we all decided to leave after Susie came in to the room, red faced and all and his female classmates were a little too high....

Oh, and when i reached home, i noticed a bouquet of flowers on the Dining table!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Pretty pink-ish tulips... which looked quite tired actually... haha!

Feeling excited, i quickly search all over the bouquet for the card that might have the possibilty of saying, "With love, your secret admirer........"

"Happy Birthday Dear"

With no signature or name!!! So frustrating!!! Anyway, after thinking about it, i came to a conclusion that it was probably sent by Johnny Bravo..... good lar... with you for so many years, never send flowers. now not together, you send. And still dare to call me dear!! Wah lau!! Haiz...... Anyway, it's quite pretty except for the fact that the flowers look a little... tired!

Will update about my dinner with ex collegues soon! Off to bed now!
