exciting day at the printing shop....
the day started out quite boring actually... but during lunch, ah meow wanted to go to queensway to buy a pair of sports shoe to wear to her "body combat" class. meow is one of the most fussy shoe buyers that i have ever met. asthetics are more important than the shoe's comfort. haha....
Q-Q Printing Services
C.M.I recommended this place to print A1 Size stuff for only $20. uncle ariff wanted to print photos of his family and especially his cute son to put up on the walls in his new jumbo house. so being the nice person i am, i offered to print for him since he is stuck in KL for 80% of the week.
so....... after work i decided to go down to Q-Q and give them the files to open and print the next day. (i already called up in the afternoon and the girl over the line told me that i could do so.) so anyway, the moment i stepped into the shop, i was greeted with unfriendly stares from people sitting behind the computers. i could not figure out who were the ones working there but one of them told me, "sorry, we are closed already. please come back tomorrow." this guy (jackie) was on the handphone, and i told him that its ok i didnt need them to be printed by today. i just need to pass them the soft copies and i will collect the next day. but he just kept saying we are closed.
fed up, i walked towards the counter and tried to get another guy's attention (the one who looked like he works there) but he just kept saying that they were closed. and i kept trying to tell him my situation, but he didnt seem interested at all. all he kept saying was, "come back tomorrow. we need to open the file and u must see if its alright first before we can go ahead printing it." i said its ok you can call me when u open the files tomorrow. but no, he just acted like i was not there at all. by then, i was already so pissed that i just let out this loud "hmphhh!" and stormed out of the shop.
i wanted to storm all the way home, but i decided to give cmi a call and bitch to him about the rude guys. while bitching to him, i noticed this shop called "leadership" and recalled vaguely that i had printed at this shop before and the owner was very helpful. so after putting down the phone, i found out that it costs only $15 to print a1 size! i happily gave them my files and waited. the quality was really good and i was really impressed....
here comes the scandalous part.
i saw this lady mounting this A3 size print out and i saw the logo "tuckerbox" on it. the first thing that came to mind was, "eh, how come zaihan is printing this?" (ah zai is supposed to be doing this cafe project called tuckerbox but there has been no news from the clients so far, they claimed to be signing him for the job) then i saw some 3d max drawings and a very blur plan..... then it dawned upon me that it was not ah zai's work and another designer's work! so the client had lied big time to ah zai! so disgusting.......... so i immediately whipped out my trusty handphone and spoke in a very soft voice. like those kind of voices that detectives speak in. very secretive and a sense of excitement in it.
after being charlie's angel for that moment, i saw this prc(peoples republic of china) couple at a corner having an arguement. the guy was shouting at the girl but i could not understand a thing they were saying despite the loud volume they were speaking in. but anyway, i decided to concentrate on ah zai's conversation first and after a short while, i saw the girl storming off in the opposite direction and the prc guy was pointing at her and still shouting. what he was saying, only prc people know lor. :P
here comes the loser part.
i forgot that such places only accept cash payments but luckily i remembered on time before they closed, otherwise it would have been so malu. on the way to the atm outside, i saw this fat cat sitting on top of a cart cleaning itself.
it was the sort of cat that i liked. so i quicked took out my phone and took a lousy shot of it cause i was scared that the owner might jump out from behind and scold me. for what, i also dunno la.
after all that was done, i had to walk to the bus stop opposite and catch my bus. by then it was 7.40pm. still could make it back for singapore idol! after i jay walked across, i saw my bus at the bus stop. so i had to run for it........... but my thights were cramped up from my "body pump" session the day before. so loser right.
anyway, that is the exciting day...... and i got to hear my sylvester sing tonight!!!!!!!!!!! swoooon..........
